I've sent it back to you, but I can't see what the problem would be, either. Reply #121. May 10 24, 7:24 AM |

As it also doesn't appear in the 'recent submissions' list, I wonder if you forgot to click through from the card? That would account for both things, I think. Reply #122. May 10 24, 7:40 AM |

Yes, I have made the error where I just began writing the question from the single question main menu rather than clicking on the Bingo card. The system can't register the credit in that instance. Reply #123. May 10 24, 7:50 AM |

I think I understand what the problem may have been. Though I did originally click on the word in my Bingo card, when I realized the question I wanted to write was already in the database, instead of clicking on "I will think of a new question" I clicked on "My question is original" - and then realized I had to go back to the question screen if I wanted to check whether my second question was also already in the DB. By doing so, instead of starting the question from the Bingo card, I started it from the link on the home page. Some days I should make sure I am fully awake before starting to write :D. Thanks again for your help! Reply #124. May 10 24, 10:55 AM |

I've probably made every mistake possible - creating a question from the single question link instead of the card, having the right word for the answer but spelling it incorrectly and forgetting the word had to be in the question or correct answer, not in the info, and having to write another. I'm not even sure I have an excuse other than inattention, or stupidity. Reply #125. May 10 24, 11:49 AM |

No no, not stupidity or inattention - you were simply doing a product test, to demonstrate all the pitfalls other authors would need to avoid! Reply #126. May 11 24, 4:46 PM |

Looks like Bingo questions are officially being played in the New Question Game. Good luck on your ratings, everyone! Reply #127. May 14 24, 8:12 PM |

This time I am not asking for the question to be bumped back to me, as it would be easier for me to write another using the same word. In a question I wrote yesterday, the word that appeared in my Bingo card - which I used in the main question body - was changed by the editor. This resulted to the word reverting to a clickable link. Now I am aware that editors don't know whether the question contains any of the Bingo words, but this was a bit frustrating nonetheless. Reply #128. May 20 24, 3:56 AM |

Yes, this has happened to me as well since the editors don't get to see which word is being used as the Bingo word. I can sometimes guess what word has come from a Bingo board, but it's not always easy to tell. I usually only directly change an author's question for a few limited reasons: to fix grammar, to make the question follow site guidelines, to enhance clarity. Sometimes a Bingo word will get caught in the crosshairs when this happens. You could certainly submit a correction on your own question, and the editor is likely to take a second look and see what can be done. If you'd rather work on another question, there's no harm in that as well. Reply #129. May 20 24, 4:48 AM |

I just wanted to update Bingo players. During bugfix time, Terry was able to add a function that allows editors to see the Bingo word during editing. Hopefully, there will be no more inadvertent altering of Bingo words in the future! Reply #130. May 21 24, 3:29 PM |
