Its origin was as the road that linked the City of Westminster to the City of London.
At the end of the street were the medieval London walls where the River Fleet was located.
The first publishing house began here in about 1500 and was followed by many more.
In March 1702 "The Daily Courant", the worlds first daily newspaper, began printing on Fleet Street.
The last major news office, Reuters, left the area in 2005.

In reality platforms 9 and 10 are not in the main station building and they don't have an adjoining barrier - they are separated by train tracks.

It is the second cheapest property on the board - the cheapest being Old Kent Road.
