Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I was selfish and spoiled. Who played me?

Answer: Dan Stevens

Stevens, born on October 10, 1982 in Croydon, Surrey, England, United Kingdom was cast as the Beast. The Beast hosted a party at the beginning of the movie and was in human form. The narration mentioned that he was selfish and spoiled. During the party, a homely woman entered his castle and begged him for shelter from the storm and presented him a rose as payment for shelter.

The Beast was disgusted by her and she told him to not be deceived since inner beauty is what is truly important. The Beast turned her away again and she revealed herself to be a gorgeous enchantress.

She transformed him into a hideous beast and cast a spell on him and all who resided at the castle. Everyone else at the castle was transformed into objects, such as a clock, a candelabra, a teapot, etc.

The spell would be in effect until the last petal fell from the enchanted rose, that is, unless he was able to love someone and win her love in return. Sure enough, The Beast broke the spell since he fell in love with Belle. Stevens guest starred in the TV series "Downton Abbey", "The Island" and "Marple".
2. I had an affinity for books. Which actress was cast as me?

Gaston pursued Belle despite her rejecting him. One day, Belle's horse, Phillipe, came back to her home in the village in France where she resided and she noticed her father was not with him.

She told Philippe to take her to her father. She went to the castle and told the Beast she would take her father's place as his prisoner in exchange for her father's release. While she initially despised the Beast, she came to see he was a kind and gentle individual.

At the end of the movie, Belle told the Beast she loved him and it broke the spell. The Beast returned to human form and Belle embraced him. They eventually got married. Watson starred as Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" films.

Maurice found his way to the Beast's castle and ended up picking a rose.

However, he released Maurice once Belle offered to take his place. At the end of the movie, Maurice was seen dancing. Kline had roles in the films "Wild Wild West", "Cry Freedom" and "In & Out".
