His spine is stablized, but it may not be known from 24-72 hours whether he'll have paralysis or not. From an ESPN.com article:

Dr. Greg Stewart, Tulane University's director of sports medicine, said Walker was in stable condition and was expected to stay in the intensive care until of St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for the next few days.

"These kind of injuries take 24, 48, sometimes 72 hours to fully declare themselves," Stewart said before the surgery. "We don't know what the long-term implications and outcomes are going to be."

Arkansas State at Nebraska is on the Deuce (ESPN2) tomorrow at 11 AM Central Time. Arkansa State is actually pretty good. They don't have a big name, but they went 10-3 last year and won the Sun Belt Conference. Their coach from last year left to take the job at Ol' Miss. Their new coach was the offensive coordinator at Auburn. I forsee this going at least 2 1/2 quarters, if not into the 4th.

Nebraska just won 43-13 over Arizona State. Bo is doing a great job! He is alright according to radio report. Osborn reported for him.

Glad to see TCU run roughshod over Kansas. Nothing against the Jayhawks, but I hate Charlie Weis.

ND will be back, Daver. You should talk to Nate (shadowzep) He's a ND fan. I'm watching Arkansas State-NU off the DVR. Dang. I wish I hadn't seen what the score was! LOL

Speaking of ND, I wasn't trying to pull a Lou Holtz by talking up Arkansas State. Ha! I really did think they were pretty good going into the game.

Gus Malzahn is a smart and great coach, Arkansas State is just going to be the first stop in his Head Coaching career I think. All the best to him.

Pitt is my early pick for the Jeckyll & Hyde team of the decade. They get bounced by Youngstown State, beaten handily by Cincinnatti and come back by soundly defeating #13 Virginia Tech. No 4 players should have made the difference in the Youngstown state game.

Florida State abused Wake Forest 52-0, even revenge for last year doesn't call for a beat down like that, ouch.

Just got home and have to watch how Auburn almost gave away the game to Louisiana-Monroe, which is the team that beat Arkansas last week.

OSU barely getting by California, but a win is a win.

Louisville looking for real early this season as they are thumping North Carolina right now.

Oh, yeah. I forgot you're an Auburn fan, Bx. (War Eagle!) You would know maybe more than anybody that Ark State's head coach is darned good.

War Eagle, the Huskers clearly didn't sleep on Arkansas State which could have been dangerous.

Maybe we should recognize Louisiana-Monroe is pretty good, Bx! A LOT of great athletes in Louisiana high schools. We got a couple of great players from down there in the mid-80's. Neil Smith (NOLA) and LeRoy Etienne (Lafayette). LeRoy Etienne. Great memories!

Nebraska was up 28-3 late in the 2nd quarter?! I have to say I loved the commitment to running the ball, and Kenny Bell is blossoming! Unlike last week, Coach Beck didn't get panic-set ADD and stray from the game plan and start throwing it all over the lot. That's just not how Nebraaska's works best.

Whoa! Is Coach Bo okay? I see Ron Brown is running the show. BTW, Ron Brown is the only coach left from T.O.'s lst staff. He was GREAT at coaching those WRs and TEs. They blocked like crazy, and rarely dropped a catchable pass. He coaches the RBs now.

Multiple witnesses are saying Coach Bo left in an ambulance. His pulse was being checked on the sideline. I'm thinking maybe tachycardia or maybe a mini-heart attack or stroke. Coach Bo is a tightly-wound guy. I've been there. Last week, my heart rate at rest must have been over 120 BPM. It's NOT fun, and it's scary.

It's 42-13 in Dave DVR-land. They really stcuk with running the football. THAT's where they need to be. Be patient and stick with it. If they did that last week, it would have worked. I KNOW deep inside. One thing Dr. Tom did was stick with his game plan. The number of times in which NU won in the second half in big games even though we were down is amazing. Why? We stuck with it. Like my sister Louise (Lu) said many times: Nebraska is a second half team! She's SO right! Ha!

42-13, I see, It was a typo. (43-13) I'm checking the huskers website. I saw this from USA Today.

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini was taken to the hospital in an ambulance during his team's game against Arkansas State.

Pelini spent the first half on the sideline but was not feeling well. A member of the Nebraska medical staff was seen checking his pulse.

He did not return with the Cornhuskers when they took the field after intermission.

Nebraska athletics director Tom Osborne indicated Pelini's health was not life-threatening.

"This was strictly precautionary," Osborne said.

Pelini released a statement after the team's 42-13 victory.

"They ran some precautionary tests on me and everything checked out fine" Pelini said. "I plan to be back at work tomorrow. I'm proud of the way our coaching staff and team responded."

Amen. They stuck to the plan!

Accoring to Coaches Bo and Tom, Bo is okay. I think he panic-attacked, though. His heart may have been racing too fast. The pulse-check on the sideline makes me think that. It was going way too fast, he noted it, and it was recycling on itself.
