Subject: Who would you show the future too?

Who from history would you like to show the future too, at least as far as it's happened so far. Let that person know how they are viewed in todays times. Where their place in history is, what is believed to be true of them, what is admired about their lives and what people feel were great mistakes they made.
After showing the person the future you would send them back to complete their lives and possibly even change thier own history and possibly the worlds.
That being said, I would never bring back someone who was evil, for they surely abuse the knowledge given them. I would be wary of bringing back anyone involved in military history. I would be tempted to bring back Vlad Tepes. I don't think he ever could have imagined how he would be viewed today, but too risky.
I haven't thought alot on this, but I think I would bring Ghandi to the future, show him how his deeds and methods are viewed today.

I missed out Leonardo Da Vinci. He was so ahead of his time with his inventions. I would love to show him how many of them are now a reality such as airplanes and parachutes and I'd love to show him and Galileo, images of the moon landings. They would see that it's no longer legal to torture people in Europe or burn them to death for heresy and that people now have democracy and the vote. I would like them to know that we can now cure or treat many of the diseases that killed people off before old age in the past and that plague no longer exists in their part of the world. They would be amazed at the communication technology we now have. I'd ask them whether they'd like to live in our time if they had the choice or whether they'd prefer to stay in theirs where life was harder but also simpler. Reply #41. Jun 28 16, 2:19 PM |
