Subject: Which Canadian province do you prefer?

We've toured the US, so I thought I'd get people's impressions of Canada. Whether you live her or have only visited the True North Strong and Free, which Canadian province appeals to you?
Of course, my favourite is my home province, Manitoba, land of 100,000 lakes, diverse scenery (all we lack is mountains), and a population made up of people from all over the world. My second choice would be Ontario, followed by Quebec and any of the four Atlantic provinces.

I really like Alberta with the Rockies to the Hoodoos Drumheller,Colombian Ice fields,Buffalo jump to Vulcan and the beautiful lakes,2nd would be Nova Scotia rugged Ocean to beautiful beaches and scenery and 3rd Yukon,though not a province but still beautiful and untouched ,great camping and hiking Reply #2. I admit a bias toward my home province, Alberta- not sure what you escaped by moving to Manitoba: it wasn't the mosquitoes or the cold winters! I have also enjoyed extended visits to BC, Québec, Nova Scotia, and Ontario (in that order of preference), with quick passes through New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Teritories. All are so large and varied, one can find much to love, and some things to dislike. As with one's family, I observe that the place one grows up often becomes one's frame of reference to either want to stay in or to run as far away as possible from! Reply #11. Jan 04 13, 10:09 PM |

It would have to be B.C. I've lived in Winnipeg, Ottawa and Vancouver but B.C. is the province I'm most likely to return to. Haven't made it to the Maritimes(except a few hours in Halifax on the way to England once) or the North yet, saving the best for last perhaps? Reply #12. Oct 11 15, 1:18 AM |
