I just saw "So I married an Axe Murderer". It was very funny. The story didn't do how I thought it would but it was good.

Just back from seeing the animation film 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs', about food falling from the sky. It was in 3D - good effects, quite funny, popcorn was good too.

Today we went to see 'Toy Story 3D' - it was good to see an old favourite at the cinema again.

I was able to watch "District 9" via the Internet last month. I am giving the movie two thumbs up.

I rented 'The Proposal' last night. Normally, I enjoy any movie with Sandra Bullock or Ryan Reynolds in it, but this one is dull, dull, dull! Great cast, good premise, wonderful scenery, but I should have saved my money.

I watched Gojira, the original Godzilla movie in Japanese. It was much better than I expected it to be and must have been quite frightening at the time it was released.

I took my niece to see 'Zombieland' last week. We both enjoyed it (in spite of missing the first 10 minutes which I managed to catch up with later on the internet! Mum's the word on that!) I was slightly disappointed that more wasn't made of the 'Zombie Kill Of The Week Award' thread which appeared in the trailers and in the length of the film - less than 90 minutes. It was very entertaining though & I'd recommend it if you like comedy zombie films. (Let's be honest, who doesn't? :) )

I watched "Year One" yesterday and "Observe and Report" the day before that.

"Year One" exceeded my expectations, and I don't understand why so many people hated it.

"Observe and Report" was rather painful to watch. Seth Rogen was painfully unfunny in that movie, which was a shame, because he hadn't failed me yet. Oh well...

I went and saw "Surrogates". It was pretty good although I must confess I dozed off during parts. I'll have to watch it again when I'm not so terribly tired.

I went and saw "Paranormal Activity" last nite and got popcorn thrown on my by the person sitting next to me. It's definitely a movie that makes people jump.

I just watched Transformers 2 last night, and of all the movies that I've seen that have come out in the last 5 years or so, that is by far the worst. Do the people that do the visual effects write the script as well? With a budget that big they've got to be able to hire some good writers, right?

I'd like to add to the Transformers beef. I hated the fact that they used sex appeal as much as they did in the sequel. I mean, come on people. This is Transformers for crying out loud. No sex allowed. Just focus on the robots and the rest will fall into place.

How can you watch Major League on cable? Every other sentence is edited on cable. I saw it on TBS one day. When the pitcher Harris takes Jobu's rum and says "Up your butt Jobu" the even edit that. They had him say "Up your bucket Jobu" I had to but in the DVD after that. Anyway the last movie I saw was Inglorius Bastards.
