There are several I really like: The Aboriginal Australian flag, the flag of Lebanon, and the flag of Nepal. Within Australia, I also rather like the flag flown at Eureka - the Southern Cross. Reply #61. Dec 02 10, 7:00 AM |

Just looked at the 'Flags of the World' page in my atlas. There are lots of nice flags but my favourites are the flags of the United Kingdom, Sweden, Nepal, Canada, the USA, Barbados & Australia. Reply #66. Jul 27 12, 9:38 PM |

I love the dragons on the flags of Wales and Bhutan. I also like the South African and Seychelles flag and, well, the Antarctica and Cyprus flags are pretty cool. Reply #67. Jul 29 12, 1:44 AM |

Looks as if folks might have to change their view on the new Libyan flag. It's fairly bland to be honest. I'll go for the flag of Mozambique, it's got an AK-47. Reply #69. Jul 30 12, 3:21 PM |

I've always liked the ALgerian and Welsh flags- both use a red symbol on a split green and white field. Guyana and the Dominican Republic are also old favourites. Reply #70. Aug 05 12, 1:35 PM |

If one finds the current Libyan flag bland, the former regime's plain green was even blander... Reply #71. Aug 06 12, 4:11 PM |

There are at least 10 flags that have a moon & a star on it. Perhaps you're thinking of Malaysia. Malaysia & Liberia are probably the two most similar flags to the USA's. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=malaysia+flag&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&biw=1093&bih=520&wrapid=tlif134808391295410&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=vi&ei=0yBaUOOFOKPIyQGAwYCIAw Reply #76. Someone said *Antarctica* back in June?? While I have found several flags designed for Antarctica and its various islands, most of these are "for fun." Which one did you mean, Daaanieeel? Reply #77. Sep 21 12, 12:32 AM |

This one. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fa/Flag_of_Antarctica.svg/220px-Flag_of_Antarctica.svg.png I like it because it is so plain. Reply #78. Sep 21 12, 2:18 AM |

In response to callie_ross, the oldest and simplest crescent and star flag is that of Turkey: white crescent and star on a red background. As noted earlier, there are several others, including one my favourites, Algeria (red on a split green and white background). Reply #79. Sep 22 12, 1:53 PM |
