I would go to either.... Canada, Australia, or the UK. I would love to visit those three locations, and if I were to go, I would also try to meet as many of my FunTrivia friends as possible. :) Reply #1. Feb 28 13, 10:27 AM |

Thanking hard about somewhere I haven't been and would like to go. I have been to Buffalo - visited family there in 1971! - but not Colorado. Anyone who makes it here will be treated to a nice warm pint and a cup of proper tea. How's that? Reply #2. Feb 28 13, 12:57 PM |

England mostly, but anywhere in the UK (Except Canada...I can drive there!) and wherever they make those little orange circus peanut thingies...I love those. Reply #3. Feb 28 13, 3:55 PM |

United Kingdom and Ireland including all the Islands around them and then France including all the islands around it. I've no desire to travel far afield anymore but I would love to be able to spend more time travelling in my favourite places. I would also like to spend some time in Switzerland and the French Alps coming back each day to a log cabin with a big fire and mulled wine and to visit Vienna and Rome. Two cities I've not been to but which interest me a lot. Reply #10. Mar 13 18, 10:10 AM |

Florence is the most beautiful place. That was one of the places I most wanted to visit and I went there in my twenties. I was not disappointed. I suppose if I was pushed to go long distance, I'd want to visit Canada. Reply #13. Jun 21 18, 2:58 AM |

Mixamatosis - Canada's a good choice. We offer breathtaking scenery, friendly people (who are very polite!), and a wide range of cultural experiences. I would suggest, however, that you visit us between May and October. Our winters can be somewhat overwhelming for people who are unaccustomed to temperatures in the minus 20 and under ranges. As for me, were I given the opportunity to visit anywhere on earth, I'd head for the UK, land of my birth, and especially to Wales where I spent my childhood. Reply #14. Mar 26 19, 8:51 AM |

Cymruambyth. Canada is a land I would be very interested to see but I hate flying and the general hassle of travelling and I don't think I'll be doing it at my age now. The desire has gone. I recently had a short trip to Spain booked but had to cancel it as I was ill and it was just as well I didn't go as it involved 9 hours travel by train (including a 2 hour changeover interlude in Paris, but the Paris customs officers went on strike and kept people waiting for up to 5 hours to board their trains. Once in the queue, they could not get a drink or visit the toilet. As a result of the chaos our return train was cancelled and there were no more trains that evening. Non cancelled trains for most days were showing as mostly fully booked. I'm not sorry to have missed all that. Also in Paris whichwe would have had to cross through, the 'Gilets Jaunes' were still burning and attacking buildings and causing general chaos. Reply #15. Mar 27 19, 12:55 AM |

Cymruambyth I love Wales, by the way, and I've holidayed there many times. I've never been disappointed. Beautiful place. Reply #16. Mar 27 19, 12:55 AM |

I have already visited all the places I was burning to see, such as Paris, much of France, Spain (Andalusia), Gibraltar, Italy (including Florence and Venice), Germany, Greece (only the island of Corfu), the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, much of England (of course). I'm not very adventurous I suppose. Reply #17. Mar 27 19, 1:06 AM |

Mixamatosis, have you ever been to Machynlleth in Powys, just north-east of Aberystwyth? That's where I lived from 1940 to 1945. It's a gem of a town, but if you go there it would be a good idea to take a Welsh-speaking friend along, because it is one of the few places in Wales where Welsh is still the everyday language.
