Subject: What quiz series have you written?

Posted by: Cuish

Even if itâ??s as few as two?

As for me, I did a 'Name the Film' Bond quiz a couple of years ago that was split into two parts and then at the moment Iâ??ve just done an American President one that focuses on those in the 19th century and those in the 20th century. The former one just went online yesterday and Iâ??m pretty surprised (or should I say pleased?) that people have responded pretty well to it (with ratings and such) in spite of not getting good scores on it.

How about you?

I've had quite a few series; tons of series of TV show episodes.

I'm working on a difficult dozen quizzes right now. :p

I'm currently working on two series, one has not been published/submitted, the other is based on minor characters from SpongeBob SquarePants. The link for the first one is the following, while the second one should be online in a couple of weeks.

Just the one on the plotline of a video game which spanned two quizzes. I don't forsee myself doing another anytime soon, though.

Let me start from the very beginning. A very good place to start.

Sly 3 series
Sly 2 series
Crash of the Titans series
Sly Spell It Out series
Beanie Babies A-Z series
First and Last Letter's the Same series
Kyle and Salami play Co-Op series
Meathead's Drop a letter series
Mario Party DS games series
Han Solo quiz pair
Food series
Meathead's Worda within Words series
Telescope Words A-Z series
Cat Burglars/Ant Eaters pair
Are you Nocturnal series
Proud to be an American series
Chain Gang series (now defunct)
Follow my directions series
Crash Spell it out series
Words within editors series
Top of the Bottom series (forgot to finish, I want to do that!)
Trapped series

That's it. I haven't made any quizzes as part of a series in a very long time.

While making the list, I did fins one series I want to finish off, so that was good. :)

I only have one series - the triple header "Perfect Disney Day". I prefer to write all across the 20 categories, whatever just crosses my mind.

I did the "Gothson" music ones, there are five of those, and I have written 4 literature subcategories (2 in adult and 2 Enid Blyton ones in Books for Kids) which I suppose count as series.
I did three "Acrogram" ones which ended up in Thematic Fun too, so I guess they're a series of sorts, and I might even write some more of those one day.
Then Mike and I (doublemm) wrote the "Invertebrates" series which ended up as the Badgelet which was lovely :D It's ever so nice seeing players on the "Recent Plays" list as they play them all going for the badgelet :D

I've got a four-quiz series on Jazz Standards, a short series on famous opening lines in works of fiction, and something that looks like it might become a series about songs beginning with the same letter - so far I have done "I" and "M".

Started a Shakespeare play title themed series, but nothing to do with the play, just a play on words, 5 so far. Planning to continue till I've got all of them even if it means connecting to Bill Shakespeare.

"Empedocles Goes Classic" (music again);

Maybe I forgot some?

I find that if a quiz does well with ratings then it could lead to a series.

I have been doing a series of quizzes on Enid Blyton's Secret Seven books. There are only 15 books in the set and I'm working on the last one at the moment. I almost wish I hadn't started them though because I'm committed to finishing them, but the last book especially was really really dull and I somehow have to make it into an interesting quiz. They aren't the most popular quizzes I've done either and I will be glad to see the back of them to be honest!

I started a series on Human Tissue Types about 3 years ago that I really should finish! In a similar note of procrastination, I started a series on SpongeBob SquarePants with AlexxSchneider that we should probably get going on!

More recently, I did a two-part series on semordnilaps, and currently have four Change A Letter quizzes. I'm working on a series on Roman Emperors just now.

I did a series of 10 word scrambles "It's All in ____" using U.S. state and Canadian province names. Ten seemed to be enough because some names were too short to make 10 good questions and some seemed to be so long that players (well, me anyway) would have trouble picking out answers.

I've done a bunch too. What comes to mind without going through my quiz list is a series of three (so far, still have plans in the back of my mind to grow this series) Canadian history quizzes. I have a series of "Just a Random Lyrics Quiz" quizzes in Music (I think I have four of those online and a fifth one that's been in the works for over a years). "My Favourite Flicks" series in Movies, with I think four of those completed as well. I did a series of Beverly Hills 90210 character quizzes as well as a few other mixed trivia quizzes on that show (like 12+ quizzes in total in that subcat). I've done series of episode quizzes in other TV shows as well (not complete and probably never will be). And I plan to do a "Some Favourite Moments From..." series of various TV shows I like. Only have one completed so far in that series I think.

Oh and my Fractured NHL Teams series is a series of three. And I wrote several Winter Olympic quizzes too (most were for the Olympic challenge in this lounge)

I had a series of Harry Potter characters come and take over my keyboard, and write their own quizzes, and then give me the credit.

Delicate Dudley was great as I could get away with spelling mistakes.
