Here it is: http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Movies/How-Green-Was-My-Valley-391505.html Just the one to go now, is it? Reply #121. Feb 06 18, 1:58 PM |

Looks like it. I haven't got the movie recorded yet, and am rather preoccupied at the moment with trotting around the world (two countries announced for which I haven't written a quiz, and more likely to appear before I get them sorted), but this will be my first quiz after we finish the world tour. Just to bump this up...this year's ceremony should happen soon. It looks like we have quizzes for two of our nine nominees. If this year is anything like last year, TRIC will also give rewards for the Best Picture noms going into the weekend. (Hint, hint.) Reply #123. Feb 22 18, 1:36 AM |

Looks like our list just grew. Of the nine nominees, we had three of them represented before the ceremonies for this year ('Get Out', 'Three Billboards', and 'Lady Bird'), but 'The Shape of Water' took the statuette. It and our nominees will award TRIC points this week! Reply #124. Mar 04 18, 11:24 PM |

Looks like the first one to cross the line is up. It's not the only template for the movie that's been made in the last little bit! Reply #127. Mar 08 18, 6:25 PM |

'Grand Hotel' by LT is online! The Best Picture Challenge officially over!! (Till the Oscars happen next year, and we will need a quiz about the winner.) Reply #128. Mar 12 18, 9:41 AM |

"(Till the Oscars happen next year, and we will need a quiz about the winner.)" Not necessarily. Last year, for example, there was already a quiz online about "Moonlight" before the Oscar ceremony, so no new quiz was needed for this challenge. Reply #129. Mar 12 18, 9:44 AM |

I reckon that this should close the challenge, whose point was looking back at all the early classics that were quizless (my spellcheck tells me that isn't a word, but I'm going with it). It is pretty likely that new winners will get a quiz, either before or shortly after the win. http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Movies/Grand-Hotel---Where-Nothing-Ever-Happens-392002.html Reply #130. It's a relief we finally got all of them covered. :) Thanks to everyone who made this major effort, even if they were forced to in the last Race. ;) Reply #132. Mar 12 18, 5:36 PM |

Folks, the Oscars took place. 'Green Book' won. We don't have quizzes on 'Green Book', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Roma' et al. Unlike last year. So? Reply #133. Feb 25 19, 1:01 AM |

As with every year, TRIC Y is featuring all Best Picture nominees for a round. We already have one person working on a quiz for 'Green Book', but more are always welcome. It's the only one that'll count for this challenge though. Re: "Unlike last year." ?? Reply #134. Feb 25 19, 1:09 AM |

"Folks, the Oscars took place. 'Green Book' won. We don't have quizzes on 'Green Book', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Roma' et al. Unlike last year. So? " I would appreciate it if there are no more spoilers for a bit. Here in Oz, it is broadcast Monday night, a few hours from now and my wife and I have been studiously avoiding all new, social media and internet access so we can can have a rare treat and sit down together to watch the ceremony without knowing who won. Thanks Reply #135. Feb 25 19, 1:19 AM |

Oops I really am sorry 1nn1 for spoilers! Last year, we already had multiple nominee films covered by quizzes. Reply #136. Feb 25 19, 2:00 AM |

From what I've seen, consensus is that this year's films weren't really too inspiring. Reply #137. Feb 25 19, 2:01 AM |

Re:1nn1, Here in India, the Oscars were live. Broadcast started from 5 in the morning (night). Almost no one watches them that early, But when the Best Actors Actresses Director Film Oscars are announced, everybody is awake and just going to work/school. So India watches the premier Oscars. Tough luck, Best Sound Editing and Costume design. Reply #139. Feb 25 19, 6:42 AM |

Yeeeeeahhh... I'm removing that long political streak about the Oscars, man. The other boards on here politely ask not to get politics involved and I'm not going to go against their wishes in here because of how inflammatory that kind of discussion can and will get. And before I get the "we're all civilized people discussing a topic as authors on the subject", I think that the other boards have proven that we can't have nice things on the topic of politics. Regarding posting about the Oscars, I would advise anyone not looking for spoilers to avoid the topics bumped up on the topic of Oscars within the hours of their airing. I don't think it's unfair to post about the Best Picture winner in a Best Picture thread-- that seems like obvious spoiler territory-- and we can't account for anyone holding out for an hour, day, week, or month anticipating watching. Regarding critical discussion of the winners, etc., I recommend our Movies board. Reply #140. Feb 25 19, 6:59 AM |
