daver, that was going to be my answer. Failing that, the original Queen Elizabeth or Queen Mary, first class of course. I'm trying to persuade my husband that a cruise would be a good idea, so at present I would settle for any ship that sailed somewhere warm and served me up 3 delicious meals a day. Reply #3. supersal1, first class is a given. We can't be mixing with hoi polloi. Reply #4. Feb 14 16, 6:53 PM |

Easy - same ship, same crew as 1965-1966, Leander Class Frigate HMS AJAX. Not the most famous ship in history, but the one where as crew member I was happiest. Reply #6. Feb 15 16, 1:26 AM |

USS NAUTILUS - first true submarine, independent of the atmosphere. Especially under-ice voyage. So much unknown. Reply #7. Mar 06 16, 2:22 PM |

RV Calypso. When I was a young boy, I was fascinated by Jacques Cousteau. I loved the ship and even built a plastic model of it. Hopefully she will be returned to service again. Reply #8. Mar 08 16, 4:04 PM |

I would have liked to cross the pond in the 1930s 0r '40s.On a luxury ship of course, maybe the Normandy or Queen Mary. Sitting on my deck chair swaddled in furs, and a romantic stranger approaching... Reply #13. Dec 15 17, 9:58 PM |

One of Christopher Columbus' ships. Imagine sailing into the unknown and finding a land that no one in the known world had seen. He was far away from what the Vikings saw and I know they were there first. Reply #16. Sep 04 18, 9:24 PM |

I think I would sail on the Queen Mary, just to enjoy the luxury of it. Of course, you can spend the night on the Queen Mary where it is docked in Long Beach, California, but if it’s not sailing then it’s not quite the same thing. Reply #17. Dec 09 18, 4:34 PM |
