Initials also can be hilarious....my maiden name meant my initials were MES....I can assure you I was not, and then when I married they became MEG - sound familiar? ....LOL...but the capper was when my mother's last son who was a late life baby and was born when I was 17. She wanted to name him Philip Ivan, till I pointed out what his initials would spell when coupled with our surname...:) Reply #21. Apr 01 17, 9:32 PM |

Mommakat, that's when you go with a second middle name... I don't think there are any initials in my family that spell anything. My mom did intentionally try to talk my dad into naming my brother Christopher Ian so that with our last initial P she could call him Chip (Ch I P). Dad didn't go for that, so my brother is an MJP instead, which spells nothing. :) Reply #22. Aug 12 17, 6:45 AM |

The rsole is priceless! Bet he avoided using just his first initial with his surname at all costs! Reply #27. Mar 04 19, 3:13 PM |

You can name your child anything you like in Canada, it seems. Only British Columbia and Quebec out of the ten provinces and three territories will ask you to rethink your choice if you choose a name or names that may cause your child embarrassment later in life. A couple in Ontario actually named their child Asparagus. I guess they call him Gus for short. Reply #29. Apr 01 19, 10:14 PM |
