Subject: Cleveland Indians New Record

I just spent this afternoon at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, watching the Indians break the American League record for most consecutive regular season wins with their 5-3 victory over the Tigers. Their streak is now at 21, passing the Athletics (of Moneyball fame) who has 20. They are tied with the Cubs now for the 2nd longest winning streak in all of baseball, only 6 straight wins away from the all-time record.

So exciting!

Wow, what a streak! I think they'll PROBABLY be in the World Series again this year.

They just hit 22 straight wins in a nail biter of a game.

The Indians should thank Ned Yost (the Royals' manager) for that win.

Well, the Royals ended the streak tonight, but it was a close thing. Go Royals!

Still a new AL record at 22 games! And considering the Giants at 36 straight, includes a tie, which is no longer allowed in MLB, it is the longest streak in modern MLB history. And their magic number is now down to 2 since the Twins lost.

I'm not really an Indians fan (AAA Clippers are my hometown team, but I root for the Reds, who have been completely awful the past couple seasons) but I'll always root for a history-making streak to continue, be it wins or losses... except for the Curse... I really wanted that to end as I always loathed the Yankees.
