As usual I'll probably get to see my team, Everton, start off in a blaze of glory and then quickly fade away OR start the season poorly but come into form with a string of victories when it's too late. Reply #3. Jul 19 18, 4:32 PM |

Veracruz must be a great player. Taking on an entire team by herself! Sorry, couldn't resist that. Good luck Lpez. Are the Pumas a highly fancied and successful team? Reply #6. Jul 20 18, 6:37 PM |

Well I will be at as many home games as I can get to again this season to see if Huddersfield Town can defy the odds again and stay in the Premier League for the third year. First game is at home against Chelsea! Can't wait! The Premier League itself will probably be dominated by the two Manchester clubs again, or can Liverpool crash the Mancunian party? Klopp doesn't seem to be a winner, seems more a nearly man to me but we will see! Elsewhere, I'm Looking forward to seeing how Ronaldo gets on in Serie A too. Reply #7. Jul 23 18, 4:57 PM |

Ok, since we have an Everton fan here! Richarlison good value? 50 million? He’s only 21 I guess. Manchester United, is WWE84 happy with Mourinho? Is he a negative influence or positive? Huddersfield have signed Diakhaby and sold Tom Ince. We are already looking stronger than last term but I do think that we will be fielding an all foreign line up at some point this year. I’m not against foreign talent being bought in, I just worry about young English players not developing at the highest level of our domestic game. Reply #9. Jul 26 18, 8:00 AM |

Don't get much soccer news in Australian media. I'll have to look up all the signings on the Internet. At the moment the other football, Aussie Rules, is taking up all media space and attention, including mine. Once the EPL starts, it will improve a tiny bit. And we usually get one game shown every weekend on free to air television. I'll stick with BBC Radio World Service, fantastic sports coverage. Reply #11. Jul 26 18, 4:15 PM |

Aussie rules, cricket and rugby come first there? Reply #12. Jul 26 18, 10:51 PM |

Definitely Aussie Rules for almost all the states except New South Wales and Queensland. Rugby league is number one there. Cricket number one all over Australia, in summer months. Soccer has increased its following and we have our own major league, the A League. But it's still nowhere near as popular as Aussie Rules Football. Then there are the usual suspects. Tennis Grand Slam tournaments, Olympics, stuff like that. Basketball has a pretty good league, Baseball definitely in the minority, some hard core fans watch local baseball and World Series. American Football has similar fans, and the Superbowl is watched by a lot more than expected. I'm sure I've missed out heaps of other sports with loyal fans. Netball is another. Reply #13. My team Manchester united kicked of the premier league on 10th august against Leicester City with a 2-1 victory, this was the game that Luke Shaw scored his first career goal. Our next match was against brighton which ended in an agonising 3-2 defeat. We then played Spurs which ended in a 3-0 loss. Uniteds heaviest defeat so far. After that we played burnley, the first time the players wore the new pink away kit, we won the match 2-0. Next was watford we won 2-0 and regained form. this is uniteds worst start to a season in 5 years. lets hope they put this drury start behind and win the league. Reply #17. Sep 17 18, 12:38 PM |

What do you think of Mourinho Daniel? Is he good for United or not? Mix, I saw that comeback from Salford, crazy stuff. Well the premier league is interesting. Great starts for Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City. It’s going to be interesting to see who keeps pace now that the Champions League is underway. Chelsea not in it I think? Does that give them an advantage in the league? Maybe. Huddersfield haven’t had a great start but have picked up the same number of points from the corresponding fixtures from last season (if you substitute Cardiff at home for either Stoke or Swansea). So I’m not hugely worried. We lost the two fixtures that come next last year too... Anyone concerned about Newcastle should look at who they’ve had to play too! I’m sticking with my pre season predictions for who’s going down, Southampton, Burnley and Cardiff. Champions league started with a bang! Spurs spurn lead in Milan, Messi hat trick, Liverpool winning 5 goal thriller. Wow! And look at L**ds topping the Championship! Good for them I suppose, it would be nice to have that local derby match back on the calendar if Huddersfield can stay up and they come up. On another note, I’m 1st and 3rd in the two fantasy leagues that I play in. Doing well! Reply #18. Sep 19 18, 1:03 PM |

Manchester Utd just snatched victory against PSG in the last minutes of the 2nd leg of the quarter finals of the Champions League - fantastic match. The Man Utd team had 9 first team players off injured at the time. Here are the highlights. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYd_hE0At1o Reply #19. Mar 07 19, 1:15 PM |

In case anyone is not sure about the rules of football (soccer), this was the 2nd leg of a 2 leg game. It ended 3-3 on aggregate but away goals count for more than home goals, and on that basis Man Utd won because they had scored more away goals. Rashford's penalty was in the last minutes of injury time and Rashford (age 21) had not taken a penalty before, I understand. Reply #20. Mar 07 19, 1:20 PM |
