The requirements for that mini-badge has changed, since all dishes have already been made. I believe it was changed to creating a dish without a recipe. That is why you received the Food Innovator mini-badge. Reply #1. Jul 19 23, 12:31 PM |

I tried the kitchen for the first time today, and it was pretty frustrating. First I tried making a simple salad with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar and got a message that nothing happened. Well, nothing exciting or innovative happened, but a nice salad resulted. Would have been better with cucumber, but the system was very insistent on four ingredients. Then I tried a nice, cool fruit salad with banana and raspberry on lettuce with yogurt on top and got the same message. So, what then? The system hates salad? Reply #2. Jul 26 23, 2:52 PM |

The recipe for each dish is provided by the authors' kitchen and may be different than how people prepare it. I've read about some people not knowing that. Are you using the recipes given by the authors' kitchen? Reply #3. Jul 28 23, 2:04 PM |

Er, I saw the recipes, but I thought you could sort of free wheel. Are you saying you're restricted to the recipes? That's okay; it's just that the way the page was written, it seemed like you could basically put together any combination that seemed logical to you. Knowing you're restricted to the provided recipes makes a difference. Thanks! Reply #4. Jul 31 23, 11:56 AM |

Yes, you can only make recipes that are included in the kitchen and using only the ingredients that the kitchen says is part of the recipe. Reply #5. Jul 31 23, 1:24 PM |

Thank you for this thread. If it hadn't caught my eye, I wouldn't have tried the Author's Kitchen at all. It's quite enjoyable. Reply #6. Aug 04 23, 5:51 PM |

After what has to have been years I got a butter today. That's good. The bad news is that I have 7 recipes that could be completed with it. Reply #7. Apr 04 24, 10:58 AM |
