Subject: Food, Glorious Food

If you were told you had to eat and/or drink only the same five or six items for the rest of your life, what would you choose? Mashed potatoes come to mind for me, as much as I love more exotic food; you can't escape your raising. :)

Cheese pizza
Pasta
Rye bread
Hamburger meat
Coffee
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

(Might try to sneak in a few 'extras', like garlic for the pasta, and butter for the bread :-D )

I wondered what to do about the 'extras,' but then I thought about mashed potatoes again, and a big dollop of butter is not an embellishment--it's essential! Go for the garlic!

My forever foods:
Linguini with white clam sauce
Salmon
Asparagus
Clementines
Pra Ram (heavy on the peanut sauce)
Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream chips
Coca-Cola (my addiction, but not an everyday one)

pizza
fruit salad
baked beans
potato salad
hot mocha chocolate

And for my treat, as much as I love Reeses Peanut Butter Cups like Postie and flavored potato chips like you, I think I'll go with Tropical Trail Mix - uh, oh, no room for bbq flavored Fritos, sigh.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Reese's Peanut Cups. I'll save those for my next life. :)

Dagny, don't you have to have fried chicken if you're going to eat baked beans and potato salad? Where I grew up, they're almost a holy trinity--one washed down with a Co-Cola, of course. :)

I do love potato salad and baked beans, but we never seemed to have them with fried chicken. It was greens (bah, cooked to death) and fries if I was lucky. Always iced tea and I think they were horrified when I switched from sweetened to no sugar.

Lamb chop (withthe obligatory mint sauce, of course)
Fish-and-chips(Brit style, and it counts as one dish because you can't have one without the other, right, fellow expatriate Brits?)
Raspberries (can I have cream on them?)
Caws y Pobi (that's Welsh Rarebit to the rest of the world)
Cream of asparagus soup
Chicken curry
