And, we're live again!

Special thanks to the newly appointed Tower Master Sergeant Lottie1001 for choosing this inspiring pair of songs:

BLOWIN' IN THE WIND

link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMFj8uDubsE

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, and how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, and
how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

TURN, TURN, TURN

link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4ga_M5Zdn4

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn

And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones

A time to gather stones together

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

The rules:

- Quotes must be full, exact words.
- You may change punctuation and capitalization and you can work across lines.
- Each title may be used only once for credit, but titles can overlap or you could even use a subset of a title already used.
- You can use any category or quiz format. You could even make a crossword if you want.
- You can participate via team and co-authored quizzes, but you need to submit a total of SEVEN questions over one or more quizzes to qualify for the badge (if two people want to evenly split a 15Q quiz, go ahead!). Or author one crossword, those don't have multi-author options.
- The challenge will be judged like any other title-based challenge, so your title must reasonably fit the quiz. This call is (as always) made by the editor who places your quiz online.

And, because it's all about , there's again a community challenge involved in this - it's about fully completing both songs. Repeated lines or phrases of course need to be covered only once. (I removed multiple instances of the chorus so we'll get a more exact progress count)

Conjunctions, articles and so on are free.

It's strongly recommended (but not required) that you claim your title before writing just to make sure no one else will use the same title. And please, before you write, check that you're not duplicating something another author is already working on.

The challenge is open until the end of the year - you must make a first submit within 2024. You can of course do more than one title if you wish to help with the community aspect, but there's no tiers on this - you get it for one quiz just the same as for ten.

And the badge you can earn looks something like this:

If we are allowed 2 at a time, can I claim "Banned" please? If not, that's perfectly O.K. too.

I believe the correct lyric in "Blowin' in the Wind" is"

A time to rend, a time to sow (not sew)

As there is more than one "turn, turn, turn"... am I also able to claim that as a title?

You could certainly claim it, but looney_tunes' quiz will complete all the instances of the phrase in the challenge, and, because it's exactly the same as her title, you won't get credit for the badge.

Two innocent words, 14 points on the scoreboard.
And seven more from Rowena's.

Decent start.

'Turn, turn, turn' is online.

I will wait to claim another title until my February frame is sorted. Also, I don't want to block out others from getting the badge by being greedy - the year is long. But I will consider trying to use up something that looks prospectively tricky, to reduce the December pressure.

Sorry for insisting, but I need to know what would be the best way to go in this situation:
I have claimed the line "a time to be born, a time to die", but over the days I came up with ideas for two separate quizzes, one for "a time to be born" and one for "a time to die", that are somewhat related to each other but can't be written in a single quiz.
Should I claim each half of the title at a time, and submit both quizzes with the corresponding title? Should I submit both quizzes with the same title, split into two parts (like "A Time to be Born, A Time to Die - part 1)? Or should I claim only the first half of the lyric and leave the other one until my first submission goes online, and then reclaim it if still available?

May I adjust one of my selections to "she sleeps in the sand"? That was my first impulse, and it makes a lot more sense.
