Answer: Linguini takes credit for Remy's cooking genius; Remy steals food from the restaurant.
Since Gusteau's restaurant becomes popular after Remy takes over the kitchen, it attracts quite a bit of press coverage. A press conference is called, and Linguini is in the limelight. Linguini is at first rather shy in front of the cameras, but soon warms to the crowd. Remy, who is hiding in his customary spot under Linguini's hat, begins to get annoyed with his cockiness. However, Linguini then proclaims that Colette is the source of his kitchen inspiration. Remy is angry, and the two have a row. In an act of revenge, Remy tells his clan to raid the restaurant's food supply. Linguini comes to apologize to Remy, but catches him in the middle of the theft. Angry again, he tells Remy to never return to the restaurant.
