According to Wallace, the "Techno-trousers" were designed by NASA (for what purpose, we are not told). The lazy Wallace intends to use them to take Gromit for walks, saving him the trouble of getting out of his armchair.

Gromit is Wallace's best friend and assistant in all of his various businesses. Gromit shows unique intelligence; a few of his astounding abilities include reading, crocheting, and working on mechanics.

Wallace's latest invention harnesses the power of moonlight to "extract unwanted thoughts and desires" from the vegetable eating bunnies. By putting a red rubber glove on his head, Feathers McGraw magically transforms his appearance into that of a chicken. The disguise is apparently so convincing that even the usually astute Gromit is fooled, until Feathers whips off the glove to reveal his true identity.

The BunVac 6000 is "capable of 135 rpm - rabbits per minute". It sucks the bunnies out of their warren into a blissful, weightless tube until they are humanely incarcerated back home.

We see Gromit watching Feathers through a hole he has cut in the side of a large cardboard box. Just when it looks as if Feathers may have spotted him, the camera reveals that the box has a picture of a dog on it, and that Gromit has cut the hole just where the eyes of the dog pictured on the box should be. Fooled by this disguise, Feathers walks away.

Gromit dotes over his own entry in the Giant Vegetable Competition, a huge zucchini. He eschews Holst, Satie and Beethoven, however in favor of serenading the squash with "The Plant" Suite. Poor choice!
