'Big Brother' - UK Trivia Questions

1. Which housemate shaved their eyebrows off in order to become a housemate?

From Quiz
10th Anniversary of 'Big Brother'

Answer: Noirin

Noirin was the housemate who volunteered to shave her eyebrows off in order to become a housemate during the first week. She also had to draw on her face a pair of glasses and a mustache using a black pen, and continued to do so for several weeks.

2. Which Housemate was the first to be evicted?

From Quiz 'Big Brother 6' U.K.

Answer: Mary

Mary and Craig were both up for eviction, having been nominated by Makosi in her secret mission. The voting public obviously thought that Mary had to go.

3. Which Christmas pantomime were the cast members asked to perform for the very first "Big Brother" panto in 2005?

From Quiz The "Big Brother" (UK) Panto 2005

Answer: Cinderella

The panto cast members had to audition for their parts in "Cinderella", with much bickering at the beginning as to who got to audition for the title role. The part eventually came down to Jade and Anouska, with the former winning the role after a viewers' vote. The panto director was Chris Denys, Principal of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

4. On the housemates' first night in the "Big Brother" house, who told Kitten that they suspected that Nadia was a transsexual?

From Quiz Brilliant "Big Brother 5" Bonanza Quiz The Sequel

Answer: Marco

Although Marco was correct in thinking that Nadia was a transsexual, he put his suspicion down to misjudgement. Marco and Nadia, along with Emma and Michelle, became best friends in the house and were nicknamed by the press as Marco's Harem.

5. One housemate from "Big Brother 5" did not receive any nominations at all during their stay in the house. Who was that popular housemate?

From Quiz "Big Brother 5" (UK) Part Four

Answer: Stuart

Stuart Wilson must have been rather popular with his fellow housemates, as he received not one single nomination. No other housemate from all five seasons had ever achieved this before. History of Art student Shell Jubin only received 2 nominations, whilst Jason Cowan was nominated the most with 14.

6. On day 44 in the house, the all-seeing one set the housemates a new task - the "Big Brother" boot camp. What did "Big Brother" re-name itself for the duration of that task?

From Quiz "Big Brother 5" (UK) Part Three

Answer: Big Brigadier

For this task, Jason and Michelle were the Sergeants, whilst the remaining housemates became Privates, with all of them wearing the appropriate uniforms. Each morning the "Big Brother" flag was hoisted in the garden, and tasks such as potato peeling and sentry duty were given. Sergeants Jason and Michelle had a separate bedroom, had their meals cooked for them by the Privates and did not have to take part in the tasks. To add to the boot camp feel, the diary room had some camouflage decorating it, and the duvets in the bedroom were removed and replaced with army style blankets.

7. "Big Brother" 2004 actually had its first proper eviction on day 29, complete with booing crowds and, of course, Davina. Poor Vanessa got what percentage of the public vote that week?

Up against popular Dan (the voice of reason on the night of the near riot), Vanessa left with a whopping 86% of the vote. She also received a rather cool reception from the crowd waiting outside.

Marco Sabba, a 21 year old law student, was the first to enter on Friday 28th May. He ran around the lounge and kitchen area, clapping his hands and squealing loudly. Marco apparently has a phobia of clowns and maggots. I don't suppose he comes across both at the same time very often! He was soon followed by Ahmed Aghil, who, at 44, was the oldest of the 2004 housemates. I'm not quite sure what he made of Marco!
