Donovan was not bothered either way if Guy was found or not, however he did feel Guy did not deserve any inheritance money.

Claire Maddison was the sister of Patty Maddison, a former girlfriend of Guy's. Patty got pregnant when she and Guy were seventeen and told everyone that the baby was Guy's. Guy had left town by then. Patty then went to a backstreet abortionist to get rid of her baby.

She developed septecaemia (blood poisoning) and died. Since their parents were already dead, Claire was the only one left.

It was actually Bennet Malek that used the pseudonym Max Outhwaite. Another reason Claire/Myrna wanted Guy dead was because he robbed her of her 'nest egg', a bundle of very rare and extremely valuable documents that were to be sold to pay for Claire and Patty to go to college. Guy turned up on the Maddison's doorstep asking to see the documents, saying he was Max Outhwaite and that he worked for an appraisal company.

He also said that he had heard that they might be fakes. Guy's friend Paul Trasatti's dad was an appraiser of rare documents.

He checked them over and confirmed that they were genuine. Paul and Guy copied these documents, handed Mrs Maddison back the copies and told her that they really WERE fake and worthless. In the meantime they sold the documents and spent the money.

He worked for Peter and Winnie Antle. Peter was the pastor of the church and Winnie was the cook for the soup kitchen.

Kinsey found her as she was walking up the highway and told her that Patty's baby was more than likely to be Jack's and that Patty had lied about it being Guy's.
