Threrah, according to the novel, means "Lord Rowan Tree". He was level-headed and had a "certain self-contained detachment", but, as Bigwig said, was "rather good at making himself unpleasant". Threrah viewed Fiver's prophecy as "a piece of trivial nonsense", and perished when the warren was destroyed.

"Lendri" is the lapine word for badger. A "homba" is a fox, and a "yona" is a hedgehog. A "hrududu" isn't an animal at all - it's a vehicle!

Not long after the Sandleford rabbits established themselves at Watership Down, Hazel saved a mouse from a kestrel. The mouse was so anxious at Hazel's reaction that the rabbit didn't know what to make of it. Holly was the one whose warning spurred the rabbits into action, whilst Speedwell was the one who told Hazel of Clover's litter, which contained three bucks and three does.

El-ahrairah is legendary among the rabbits as the prince of tricks, whilst Rabscuttle is his friend / partner in mischief. The Black Rabbit of Inle is the one who can cause a rabbit to act silly when he should act with caution.
