Guidelines for Quiz Creation

Important: ALL of the following sets of guidelines are relevant for the category you would like to submit to. Please read all of them carefully and keep them in mind as you develop your quiz. Thanks!

The following sets of guidelines apply to quizzes created in People.

Guidelines for People

The following categories have been restricted, and only exceptionally good quizzes will be put online. They may be rejected if the questions are repetitive of existing ones, too simplistic, or generally lacking interesting material. Interesting information is required on every question. You are welcome to submit to these categories, but be warned the time and effort you spend may not be worth it. The same applies if your quiz is rejected and you wish to resubmit it, there will be no guarantee your quiz will go online.

-Quotes
-Criminals
-U.K. Royalty (including all sub-categories)
-Mixed People

The following categories are closed to new submissions;

-House of Tudor (including all sub-categories)
-Serial Killers

(1) A repeat of the question and answer in the Interesting Information is not sufficient. Two or three sentences are ideal. Players in this category always want to know more so see what you can show them!
(2) Please play some quizzes already online in the subcategory you wish to submit to. That way you will know how to avoid duplicating questions that have already been asked. Quizzes containing questions that have been asked many times before probably won't be accepted so play through a few and make yours stand out.
(3) Answers to 'fill-in-the-blank' (FITB) questions must not be longer than three words. Quizzes consisting entirely or largely of FITBs or true/false (or yes/no) questions are be accepted.
(4) Opinion based quizzes cannot be accepted, nor can scrambles.
(5) Each question must stand by itself; don't refer/link to another question in the quiz. This applies to the notes (interesting information) as well as the actual questions.
(6) Questions on hair color, body height, weight and the like are not accepted in new quizzes.
(7) If you will be working on a quiz for longer than three months please put 'Do Not Delete' in the title of your quiz.
(8) Remember to check your spelling, grammar and punctuation. Using a spell-check program is a great idea.
(9) Please put your quiz in the correct subcategory before submitting. Quizzes on entertainers (actors, music artists etc), should be submitted to the Celebrities category and quizzes on sports figures should be submitted to the Sports category. Questions on politicians, past and present, belong in the World category.
(10) Finally, if you have any questions about creating your quiz that you can't find in the Quiz Creation Guidelines please contact the editors. Thanks and have fun creating!

Please do not write or submit a quiz until you have played a few games and are familiar with Quiz Creation Guidelines.
