Answer: Regina

The Albert Street Bridge, also known as the Albert Memorial Bridge, was built and opened in 1930 as a relief measure in the Great Depression. It was dedicated to soldiers who fought and died in World War I. The bridge is 850 feet long and 74 feet wide. It bridges Wascana Creek, which isn't nearly that long or wide!

Saskatoon is often known as the "City of Bridges", due to its seven bridges over the South Saskatchewan River. These bridges are: The Broadway Bridge, The Circle Drive Bridge, The University Bridge, The Traffic Bridge, The McDonald Bridge, The Trunk Bridge and the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge.

Biggar is a town in West Central Saskatchewan. It is also the home of 1998 Olympic Gold Medalist in women's curling, Sandra Schmirler. Sadly, Sandra passed away in March of 2000 of cancer, at the age of 36.

Answer: Moose Jaw

The Tunnels of Moose Jaw attract thousands of tourists to the city each year. The tunnels were originally built for heating and maintenance, but they are said to have been used by Chinese immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s, trying to escape racial discrimination.

The tunnels are also said to have been used by Al Capone in the 1920s and 1930s for bootlegging and as a hideout, when things got too dangerous in Chicago. There are two guided tours available through the tunnels. They are guided by actors and actresses, dressed in the theme of the time and they involve the audience in the tours.

The first tour is "A Passage to Fortune" which tells the story of the Chinese immigrants and the second is "The Chicago Connection" which deals with Al Capone and the bootlegging industry.

The town of Watrous, Saskatchewan is home to "Danceland". Danceland was built in 1928, and houses a beautiful, 5000 square foot dance floor, with horse hair underneath a hardwood covering. It's unbelievable to dance on!

The early plains Indians brought their sick to the "Lake of the Healing Waters" or "The Lake of Good Spirit", to be healed. The waters have a high mineral content and some of the same qualities as the Dead Sea. It is impossible to sink in the water! The water is known for its healing properties for everything from arthritis to skin conditions, such as psoriasis.

Answer: Kenaston

The Kenaston Hockey Pool orginated in the 1984-85 hockey season and has been running successfully ever since. It was the first ever hockey pool, but the idea spread quickly and there are now many of these pools across Canada and the United States. The Super Draft was the brainstorm of Barry Firby of Kenaston, Saskatchewan.

The prizes are large, and first place winnings have been as much as $20,000. Proceeds go to the Lions Club and Provincial and National charities.

Weyburn, Saskatchewan is home to the Turner Museum, which is the world's first curling museum. Don and Elva Turner love curling as well as collecting. The museum contains rare, historical curling pieces and one of the largest collections of curling pins in the country. They are said to have the biggest collection of curling memorabilia in the world.

The Athabasca Sand Dunes, is located in extreme Northern Saskatchewan, in the Boreal Shield, on the southern edge of Lake Athabasca. Access to the dunes is possible only by float plane.

Lloydminster was settled in 1903 by the Barr colonists from England. It was named for their leader, Reverend Lloyd and the word "minster" meaning "Mother Church". When Alberta and Saskatchewan became provinces in 1905, the 4th Meridian was selected as the border, thereby splitting Lloydminster in two.

Answer: Cypress Hills

The Cypress Hills is the only Interprovincial Park in Canada. Located in both South Western Saskatchewan and South Eastern Alberta, it rises up to 1970 feet or 600 metres above the surrounding land and up to 1400 metres above sea level. The majestic Lodgepole pine trees that grow in the Cypress Hills, are unique to Saskatchewan, due to the high elevation and increased precipitation which enables them to thrive there. (There are no mountains in Saskatchewan.)
