Cedric Diggory was two years ahead of Harry at Hogwarts and was a popular student among the Hufflepuffs. He played as Seeker on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. He was a prefect as well. In "Goblet of Fire", Cedric became the Hogwarts champion for the Triwizard Tournament. During the last task, he and Harry were taken away to a graveyard where he was murdered by Peter Pettigrew at Voldemort's command.
His death haunted Harry for years to come.
2. Hannah Abbott

Hannah Abbott was sorted into Hufflepuff the same year Harry arrived at Hogwarts. She was a half-blood witch with blond hair. In her fifth year, she became a prefect and also joined Dumbledore's Army. When her mother was murdered in her sixth year, she was pulled out of Hogwarts, but later returned in the seventh book and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
3. Ernie Macmillan

Ernie Macmillan was a classmate of Hannah's in Hufflepuff. Along with her, he was also a prefect and member of Dumbledore's army. Ernie could be outspoken and pompous. Although he sometimes doubted Harry's claims, he usually came around to understanding. He fought in the Battle of Hogwarts as well.
4. Nymphadora Tonks

Nymphadora Tonks was introduced in book five as a member of the Order of Pheonix. After graduating from Hogwarts, she joined the Ministry of Magic as an Auror trained by Mad-Eye Moody. She was a Metamorphmagus, meaning she could change her appearance at will.
She usually wore her hair in bright colors. She had a boisterous and fun personality. She fell in love with Remus Lupin and eventually married him in the seventh book. She had a baby named Teddy shortly before dying with Remus in the Battle of Hogwarts.
5. Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood was a Ravenclaw in the same year as Ginny Weasley. She and Harry met in the fifth book. Luna had long, blond hair and was known for being quirky and whimsical. She often wore strange, handmade accessories and was made fun of by other students. She became close friends with Ginny and Harry. She was a member of Dumbledore's Army and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
6. Cho Chang
Answer: Ravenclaw
Cho Chang was a year ahead of Harry in Ravenclaw House. She dated Cedric and was heartbroken when he died. Harry had a crush on her for a few years and although she felt something for him too, they only had one failed date. She was a Seeker on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. She also joined Dumbledore's Army and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
7. Michael Corner
Answer: Ravenclaw
Michael Corner was a Ravenclaw student in the same year as Harry. In the fourth book, he began dating Ginny. Then, in the fifth book, he joined Dumbledore's Army with her. Ginny ended things with Michael because of how upset he got over Gryffindor beating Ravenclaw at Quidditch. He then began dating Cho.
8. Blaise Zabini
Answer: Slytherin
Blaise Zabini was in the same year as Harry but was friends with Draco Malfoy in Slytherin. He was a reserved boy known for being contemptous and vain. In the sixth book, he was invited to join the Slug Club by Horace Slughorn.
9. Bellatrix Lestrange
Answer: Slytherin
Bellatrix Lestrange was a Slytherin and one of the top supporters of Voldemort. After Voldemort went into hiding she and a few other Death Eaters were sent to Azkaban for torturing Frank and Alice Longbottom into insanity. In the fifth book, she escaped the prison with many others.
She was Draco's aunt and the murderer of Dobby and Sirius Black. During the Battle of Hogwarts, she was killed by Molly Weasley.
10. Horace Slughorn
Answer: Slytherin
Not all members of Slytherin House were bad, and Horace Slughorn was an example of this. In the sixth book, Dumbledore convinced Slughorn to return to Hogwarts and take up his old position of Potions Master. He was a jovial, good-natured man with a fondness for crystallized pineapple.
He loved to seek out the most promising students and invite them to his Slug Club. He fought to save the school in the Battle of Hogwarts.
11. Regulus Black

Regulus Black was the younger brother of Sirius. Although he died at a young age prior to the first book, his actions had a major effect on the plot in the last two books. While he joined the Death Eaters after leaving Hogwarts, he soon regretted his decision.
After Voldemort used the Black's house elf, Kreacher, to hide the locket Horcrux, Regulus switched it with a fake one. However, he died in the process.
12. Colin Creevey

Colin Creevey joined Gryffindor during Harry's second year. He was an excitable boy who loved taking pictures and often annoyed Harry with his hero worship. Colin was one of the Muggle-borns who was petrified by the Basilisk. His brother, Dennis, came to Hogwarts in the fourth book. Both boys joined Dumbledore's Army. Even though Colin was too young to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts, he snuck in and ultimently died in the battle.
13. Katie Bell
Answer: Gryffindor
Katie Bell was a year ahead of Harry and played as a Chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She was also a member of Dumbledore's Army. In the sixth book, Katie was put under the Imperius Curse by Draco during a trip to Hogsmeade. When she touched a cursed necklace destined for Dumbledore, she was cursed and almost died.
She spent time at St. Mungo's Hospital before returning to school.
14. Remus Lupin
Answer: Gryffindor
Remus Lupin had been one of the infamous Marauders during his time at Hogwarts along with James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew. He had the nickname Moony because he had been turned into a werewolf as a boy. He returned to Hogwarts in the third book to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts.
He was a great professor and became close to Harry, teaching him the Patronus Charm. Remus was a member of the Order of Pheonix where he met his future wife, Tonks. They both died in the Battle of Hogwarts.
15. Seamus Finnigan
Answer: Gryffindor
Seamus Finnigan was an Irish student who was sorted into Gryffindor the same year as Harry. He became best friends with Dean Thomas. When Voldemort returned, Seamus doubted Harry, causing friction between the two. However, he eventually came around and joined Dumbledore's Army. He later fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
