Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Rebecca surprised to see when she wakes up at 6am and looks through The Sun newspaper?

Answer: The incriminating photos of Ted and Keeley are nowhere to be seen.

In the prior episode, Rebecca had Higgins leak incriminating but ultimately innocent photos of Ted and Keeley to The Sun. She had expected the photos to be front page news but they were nowhere to be seen in the paper. Eventually we learn that Keeley had a friend at The Sun who told her they could only delay printing the photos in the newspaper for one day.
2. What type of meeting does Rebecca tell Ted that she has prompting him to joke "I feel bad for the cows but otherwise they will get lost"?

Answer: Branding

After many of Ted's statements and jokes the other person isn't sure whether he is serious or not. Rebecca tells Ted that she has a branding meeting and he jokes that he feels bad for the cows but otherwise they'll get lost. Rebecca thinks that Ted is serious with this statement and Ted then goes on to tell her about his visit to Big Ben. Like most of their 'Biscuits with the Boss' morning chats, Rebecca shoos him away by telling Ted that she doesn't have time for chit chat.
3. Who comes up with the idea to implement an offensive play in which Jamie is a decoy?

Answer: Nathan, the equipment manager

Ted and Beard are talking about strategy when Ted concludes that their offense is give and go in which others give the ball to Jamie and everyone else go away. Since he believes in symbolic gestures, he uses a dry erase board to erase that strategy and have a fresh white board to develop a new play. Surprisingly, the team's equipment manager (kit man), Nathan, shows Ted and Beard a play that he had drawn up in which the team's best offensive player, Jamie, is used as a decoy.

They run the play in training (practice) and a goal is scored with it.
4. What First Lady of the United States do Ted and Keeley tell Rebecca that they would love to see her arm wrestle because they both have great arms?

Answer: Michelle Obama

Ted and Keeley go into Rebecca's office to show her the incriminating photo of them and Rebecca acts shocked to see it even though she was the one behind it. Since they already know about it, Rebecca tells them that she will make sure The Sun doesn't publish it as long as Ted does a full day interview with Trent Crimm from The Independent. Ted agrees and then notices how muscular Rebecca's arms are.

He makes this comment and Keeley also agrees and they conclude that her arms could give Michelle Obama a good match in an arm wrestling contest. Michelle Obama was the First Lady of the USA from 2009 to 2017 and one of her main initiatives was getting kids more active and to eat better.
5. Ted gives all of his players a book in the cubby above their locker. What book first published in 1962 does Ted give to the team's captain and leader Roy?

Answer: A Wrinkle in Time

Knowing that Roy is the most seasoned player and the team's captain, Ted looks to him to show leadership. Beard explains that "A Wrinkle in Time" features a girl who has to step up and show leadership to help others and that's why the book was picked. Later in the episode, Roy is seen reading the book to his niece and it prompts him to confront Jamie about how he picks on Nathan. "A Wrinkle in Time" was written by Madeleine L'Engle and a theatrical adaptation of the story was released in 2018.
6. What do Ted and Beard tell Trent Crimm that he reminds them of because he is looking around for dirt?

Answer: A Roomba vacuum

Trent Crimm arrived at AFC Richmond's training (practice) and was surprised that the team's equipment manager, Nathan, had designed a play and that Ted's main focus was not winning. When Crimm is in Ted's office, he is overtly inspecting everything in there to which Ted comments he is like one of those robot vacuums.

As with many of Ted's statements, Beard finishes it by saying "a Roomba". Roombas are autonomous robotic vacuums that were introduced in 2002 by iRobot Corporation.
7. Where do Ted, Roy and Crimm go after training (practice) that Crimm finds to be very coincidental on a feature interview day?

Answer: Richmond Primary School

After investigating Ted's office, Crimm agrees to tag along to go to Richmond Primary with Ted. He tells Ted that it is an odd coincidence that the school visit was set up on this interview day. Comically, Ted replies that sometimes coincidences are coincidental. Ted and Roy congratulate the students at Richmond Primary School for winning their division and then they practice bouncing the ball off their heads (heading) with the kids.
8. What characteristic of the food ordered at Ollie's restaurant makes it difficult for Ted and Crimm to eat?

Answer: It is extremely spicy.

Ted first met Ollie when Ollie picked him up at the airport when he arrived in London. On the drive to AFC Richmond's building, Ollie told Ted that he should come by his family's restaurant some time. At the restaurant, Ted tells Ollie to bring him and Crimm whatever the chef recommends as if they were family. Crimm is only able to take one bite before commenting that he can't eat anymore due to the food's spiciness. Ted ends up eating everything in spite of the obvious pain the spice is causing. Later Crimm would write about Ted that he is so polite that he ate the food in spite of it liking causing damage to his intestines.
9. What is the name of the article that Crimm publishes in The Independent about his day with Ted Lasso?

Answer: Wayward Ted

Crimm is initially very critical of Ted's methods and does not think that Ted will succeed as coach of AFC Richmond. However, Crimm eventually comes to root for Ted because he is such a nice guy. Higgins reads an advance copy of the story to Rebecca who ends up getting upset because she was hoping that Crimm would have only negative things to say about Ted.
10. What actor who was born in Southampton in 1975 plays the part of Trent Crimm in "Ted Lasso"?

Answer: James Lance

Prior to appearing on "Ted Lasso", James Lance had appeared on the British comedies "I'm Alan Partridge", "Toast of London" and "People Like Us". For his role as the prickly sportswriter Trent Crimm on "Ted Lasso", Lance was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2022.
