Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When does Franziska debut?

Answer: "Reunion, and Turnabout"

Franziska's face is the logo resembling "Turnabout Big Top", but it would be the episode right before that one in "Reunion, and Turnabout" where she appears for the first time.
2. When Phoenix "defeats" Franziska in her debut and successfully gets his client a Not Guilty verdict, how does Franziska react?

Answer: Whipping Phoenix repeatedly

Franziska is driven into a frenzy, causing her to attack Phoenix with her whip so many times that he falls unconscious. It seems she should've been the next defendant in an assault trial.
3. There is quite a lot to Franziska's background, as she is frequently referred to as a courtroom "prodigy". At what age did Franziska pass the bar exam?

Answer: 13

At the time of meeting Phoenix Wright, Franziska has been practicing law for five years. A recurring theme throughout this franchise is characters who are much, much younger than real-world people in their roles typically would be. Franziska is therefore probably the poster child of this concept, as it's obviously extremely ludicrous to imagine someone passing the bar exam at the age of thirteen years old.
4. When meeting Phoenix Wright for the first time, Franziska talks about her motivation in coming to this country over from Germany. Specifically, she says: "I gave up a promising career in Germany and came to this country for one sole reason. _______." What word correctly fills in the blank?

Answer: Revenge

Before meeting Franziska, Phoenix Wright had previously defeated Manfred von Karma, her father, in court. Phoenix didn't just defeat Manfred though, he also implicated Manfred for the very crime in question and earned him a likely life sentence in prison, or a trip to death row. Defeating Phoenix would therefore likely be Franziska's idea of revenge.
5. As it turns out, Franziska and Miles Edgeworth were adopted siblings, with Franziska's father taking the latter under his wing. Franziska is 18 years old in the events of this game-- is Edgeworth older or younger than her?

Answer: Older

At the time of meeting 18 year old Franziska, Edgeworth is 26 years old. Despite this, Franziska frequently refers to him as a 'little brother.'
6. When Franziska gets annoyed, but not angry enough to bust out the whip, she will frequently use this insulting word at whoever is the cause of her irritation. What is Franziska's most used insult?

Answer: Fool

When irritated, Franziska will usually begin her statement in response with "Foolish fool who foolishly dreams of foolish dreams" or something to that effect. She really has a fondness for the word.
7. When talking about the 'perfection' boiled into the von Karma name, Franziska declares it is not in her nature to lose anything at all. Maya Fey responds directly to her in a very hilarious way, saying "I guess being born with the name Von Karma is a free pass to be ________ and ________." What does Maya label Franziska as here?

Answer: Arrogant and annoying

Arrogant and annoying is a perfect way to describe both of the von Karmas.
8. Franziska is getting set to prosecute the case in "Farewell my Turnabout" but something happens and she is rendered incapacitated. What happened to Franziska that forced Miles Edgeworth to takeover for her?

Answer: She was shot

Franziska actually found Shelly de Killer, the true culprit, and moved in to apprehend him. In the process, she was shot in the arm by a revolver and hospitalized, causing her to be unable to appear in court. This is essentially how it was written for Edgeworth to make his grand reappearance.
9. Franziska isn't able to initially impact "Farewell my Turnabout", but she certainly does have a presence towards the end of the case. With things looking hopeless for Phoenix Wright, in uncharacteristic fashion, she actually comes to his aid instead of opposing him this time. Franziska kicks down the courtroom door and brings what to the courtroom?

Answer: New evidence

With the verdict imminent, The Judge is ever so barely halted by Franziska's abrupt entrance into the courtroom. She brings Detective Gumshoe's trench jacket with her here, and inside of it are three crucial pieces of evidence: a pistol, a video tape and a uniform belonging to the man who kidnapped Maya Fey.
10. After "Farewell my Turnabout", an angry Franziska storms out of the courtroom and proclaims a desire to leave the country, disgraced after losing in court to Phoenix Wright. She doesn't go to the airport from here alone, however, as a prominent character follows her here to talk her out of it. Who does this?

Answer: Miles Edgeworth

Something that is briefly touched on but not given a ton of depth is that Franziska and Edgeworth are adoptive siblings. Manfred von Karma, Franziska's father, adopted Edgeworth (after being the one to kill Edgeworth's father himself, but that's neither here nor there...). As such, it's this connection that likely drove Edgeworth to run her down in the airport.

Edgeworth doesn't just talk to Franziska here, however; he also delivers to her the whip she left behind in court- her personal whip, that is. Afterward, Franziska displays an uncharacteristic amount of emotion, tearing up before the pair part ways.
