Answer: Bette Kane

Bette Kane, like Batwoman, was only created by the purpose of being a love interest for Batman and Robin. In Dr. Frederic Wertham's book "Seduction of the Innocent", he suggested the homosexuality of Batman and Robin. DC created female counterparts for the Dynamic Duo. Bette became more prominent after she was retconned out of continuity. She took up the mantle of Flamebird, and became a core member of the team Titans West.

The Joker shot her in the spine as a part of his mission to drive her uncle Jim Gordon insane. This forced Barbara to live in a wheelchair the rest of her life and she decided to continue the job through her computers in the Gotham Clocktower.

When Robin was taken to Deathstroke, he revealed to Robin that he was the one causing Cassandra to act the way she did. Eventually, Robin was able to knock Cassie out of her trance , and she helped the Teen Titans to fight Deathstroke.
