From Quiz One Night Songs
Answer:
my desire
Frankie Laine first recorded "That's My Desire", (written in 1931 by Helmy Kresa and Carroll Loveday) in 1946, when he was still a Jazz singer. The record spent four weeks on the U.S. Billboard Best Seller chart in 1947; it was Frankie's first charting record, peaking at Number Four.
In 1926 Georges Boulanger wrote an instrumental called ""Avant de Mourir." Jimmy Kennedy added lyrics in 1939 and it became "My Prayer." Glenn Miller and his orchestra took the song to Number Two that same year, with the Ink Spots right behind at Number Three. But it wasn't until 1956 that "My Prayer" reached the top of the charts, when the Platters' recording stayed at Number One for two weeks in August.
"This Is All I Ask" was written by Gordon Jenkins. Nat "King" Cole, Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra among others have recorded it.
"She's Just My Style," written by Al Capps, Thomas Lesslie "Snuff" Garrett, Gary Lewis, and Leon Russell, was a Number Three hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for Gary Lewis & the Playboys in 1966.
