Grover Cleveland's second term as President ran from 1893-1897. Adlai E. Stevenson was his Vice President all four years. Serving in his cabinet for his entire second term were John Carlisle as Secretary Of The Treasury, Hillary Herbert as Secretary Of The Navy, and J. Sterling Morton as Secretary Of Agriculture. Through 2017, Grover Cleveland was the only US two-term President whose terms were not consecutive. His first term ran from 1885-1889; he lost his re-election bid to Benjamin Harrison, who was in the White House from 1889-1893. He than defeated Harrison in the 1892.

Teddy Roosevelt was forty-two years old at the time he became president and was at that time the youngest person to hold that office. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906 for his efforts in mediating the Russo-Japanese war. Roosevelt himself was shot, but not killed, while campaigning in 1912. Despite being shot, Roosevelt delivered his speech.
