Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. There is a town where 5 percent of all the people living there have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 100 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of these people would have unlisted phone numbers?

Answer: 0

You wouldn't find unlisted phone numbers in a phone book, so no matter how many you pick out they'll all be listed.
2. A man walks up to you and says - "This is a lie." Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?

Answer: It doesn't work either way

It's a paradox and no acceptable answer exists. Don't think about this one too long... it'll hurt your brain.
3. What five letter word, no matter how you pronounce it, is always pronounced wrong?

Answer: wrong

That's a typical kind of riddle, very easy, just as a break from the trickier ones in this quiz.
4. If two hours ago, it was as long after one o'clock in the afternoon as it was before one o'clock in the morning, what time would it be now?

Answer: 9 o'clock

Nine o'clock. Since there are twelve hours between the two times, and half of that time equals six, then the halfway mark would have to be seven o'clock. If it were seven o'clock, two hours ago, the time would now be nine o'clock. Got that?
5. Which English word is pronounced the same if you take away the last four letters?

Answer: Queue

It is then just the letter and is still pronounced 'cue.' I hope you liked the quiz.
