Shakira was born in Baranquilla Colombia on 2nd February 1977. She made her first debut album in Spanish at the age of 14, named "Magia". In 2001 she released her first album sung in English named "Laundry Service". Her song "Waka Waka" was chosen as the official anthem theme for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. One of her bestselling songs "Hips Don't Lie" reached number one in more than 55 countries.
2. Although she has won several Latin Grammy Awards, Laura Pausini was not born in Latin America. In which fashionable European country she was born in?

She was born in Faenza, Italy on 16th May 1974. In 2005 her record "Escucha" won her her first Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album. In 2006 she was the first female Italian artist to ever win a Grammy Award. Although she is Italian, most of her well known albums are sung in Spanish. In 2001 she produced her first album sung in English, "From The Inside"; even though it never made it big in the USA, the record sold very well in Europe.

She topped the charts in the 1980s and 90s with songs like "Conga" and "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You".

Before moving to England when he was nine years old Strummer had lived in Egypt, Mexico and Germany. Strummer made his name as the lead vocalist and guitarist of The Clash writing songs about political and social injustice.

When inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 it was said that the band was "considered one of the most overtly political, explosive and exciting bands in rock and roll history". Sadly in 2002 at the age of 50, Strummer died of heart failure.
