Answer: Ham

Ham is an ancient Druid who finds himself in a mental institution in a cell next to the Badger's. Communicating telepathically, the two agree to join forces and get out of their cells. Ham can control the weather and has used his magic to make himself incredibly wealthy. He first appeared in "The Badger" #1, which debuted in 1983.
2. Who goes to confront Ham?

Answer: The Yak and the Yeti

The Yak is an old and powerful wizard who has gone into semi-retirement, not using magic for many years. The Yeti is his strong and hot-tempered bodyguard. The two sense Ham's presence and leave Tibet to find him. The duo first appeared in "The Badger" #1, which debuted in 1983.
3. Badger meets a martial arts instructor. What is this man's other occupation?

Answer: Professor of Economics

Riley Thorp first appeared in the second issue of "The Badger", which went on sale in 1983. When he is not teaching martial arts, which he also practices with great efficiency, he is an associate professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin.
4. Reverend Grabbit preaches vehemently against what?

Answer: Comic books

Reverend Grabbit appears in the fourth issue of "The Badger", which went on sale in 1983. He convinces his followers to build a huge bonfire, intending to use comic books as the fuel. Ham appears and uses his wealth to buy all of the issues from Grabbit.
5. The Badger will occasionally call people "Larry". Who is Larry?

Answer: Badger's stepfather

As a child, Badger suffered years of abuse at the hands of his step-father, Larry. It was this constant abuse, coupled with the strain of serving in the Army during wartime, that caused Badger to manifest six different personalities (seven if you count Badger himself.)
6. Which of Badger's personalities is a little girl?

Answer: Emily

Emily is a scared girl of about seven. Badger first resorted to this personality when he was reminded of his abusive stepfather by a group of marauding criminals. These events happened in "The Badger" #5, which went on sale in 1983.
7. The Badger entered a dogfighting contest with his very own "hound"-a badger!

Answer: True

Badger hates when people abuse animals, so he crashes a dogfighting ring and offers a challenge to everyone. All the dogs refuse to fight the fierce badger, and Ham becomes filthy rich off of the bets. These events happened in "Badger" #4, which went on sale in 1983.
8. Senator Bob Kasten is a normal pig, but what is his job?

Answer: Killing vampires

Senator Bob has a peg leg, because his former owner once got very hungry. Bob uses this wooden leg to kill vampires, and all he wants in return are some truffles. What a talented pig! Senator Bob Kasten first appeared in "The Badger" #19, which went on sale in 1984.
9. When he needs to get somewhere quickly, Badger uses a bison named Lamont.

Answer: True

Lamont is a very vain mammal, taking extra care with his shaggy hair. He first appeared in "The Badger" #17, and his favorite pasttime is ice skating. Badger has used Lamont many times, even bringing him along to capture an escaped rhino!
10. What is the name of Badger's wife?

Answer: Mavis

Mavis Davis first appeared in the "Hexbreaker" graphic novel, which went on sale in 1985. Badger and Mavis met at a martial arts tournament, where the latter was killed by the evil Hodag. Badger killed Hodag and won the tournament, bringing Mavis back to life as part of his prize.
