Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the first maze design? (2000)

Answer: A bear catching a fish

Later mazes included moose, beehives, a squirrel, and a frog. Each maze was many kilometers long.
2. What is Meadow's Mountain?

Answer: A slide you ride with a sack underneath you

Meadows Mountain has a 40 foot long slide, and a wonderful view of the maze at the top. To see a picture visit meadowsmaze.com.
3. Who sponsors Meadow's Maze?

Answer: Canadian Tire

Before visiting Meadow's Maze you may want to stop by Canadian Tire to pick up flashlights and a compass. Unless of course you want to rent them.
4. How young do you need to be to get in for free?

Answer: under 4 years old

If you are under 4 you can visit the maze and other attractions free of charge, but your parents will have to pay. If you plan on entering the actual maze you may want to bring a stroller.
5. What time of year is the maze open?

Answer: July/August to October

The maze can't open any earlier or else the corn wouldn't be tall enough, and the maze would become easy. Of course over the years it may have varied, but mostly it has been opened in late July or August.
6. What do you do if you get lost?

Answer: Call the maze office with a cellphone

In earlier years there were flags you could raise, and a worker would come get you. Now the maze has modernized and is now using cell phones to help the lost mazers.
7. About how wide are most of the paths in the maze?

Answer: 5 feet

They are generally about 5 feet wide, but in some spots the corn and weeds have overgrown to make it slightly less. Hopefully this wasn't a problem for anyone.
8. How many stations do you need to find inside the maze to claim your prize?

Answer: 12

There is a unique holepuncher at each station that you use to punch your card. When you have all 12 you can exit the maze, if you can find the exit.
9. What is the prize you get for visiting all the stations?

Answer: A postcard with the maze's designs

You also can keep your punched ticket for a dollar off next time you visit the maze. Other maze merchandise is available in the gift shop.
10. What type of corn is grown for the maze?

Answer: Cow corn

It is against the rules to try and eat the corn, but apparently many have tried to do it anyways. Thanks for taking my quiz, and I hope you learned a bit more about the fun attraction.
