"The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle" was one of the books in the "Doctor Dolittle" series by British author Hugh Lofting. The series began publication in 1920 and were adapted in movies, plays, and television series. Dr. Dolittle was an extraordinary man who could speak to animals in their own languages.

After a spiteful witch locked the beautiful Rapunzel in a high towel, a handsome Prince discovered her and asked her to let down her super-long hair so he could climb. The original version of this fairy tale has a rather grim ending, but it was updated in later versions for a happy one in which Rapunzel and the Prince live happily ever after.

The retelling by Paul O. Zelinsky won the Caldecott Medal in 1998.
