"Thumbelina" was a fairytale written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1835. It told of a tiny young girl and her adventures with mice and toads, butterflies and birds, until she eventually met and fell in love with Cornelius, the fairy prince.
2. Puck
Answer: A Midsummer Night's Dream
Puck was an impish fairy from "A Midsummer Night's Dream", a 1605 fantasy story told by William Shakespeare. "How now, spirit! Whither wander you?" Puck asked a fairy in Act 2, Scene 1. She replied, "Over hill, over dale, thorough bush, thorough brier, over park, over pale, thorough flood, thorough fire, I do wander everywhere. Swifter than the moon's sphere; and I serve the fairy queen, to dew her orbs upon the green."

The story told of Tip, an orphaned boy who, along with a scarecrow called Jack Pumpkinhead and an animated sawhorse, escaped the clutches of the Wicked Witch called Mombi.
They travelled to the Emerald City to help restore Princess Ozma as the rightful ruler of the capital.

Many countries have their own version of the Cinderella story, but one of the first was written by a French writer called Charles Perrault who called the character Cendrillon in his collection of short stories, "Histoires ou contes du temps passe" ("Stories and tales of the past").

A young girl called Clara was the main character in "The Nutcracker", a famous Russian ballet with music composed by Tchaikovsky. Clara woke up the following morning to find it was all a happy dream.
The ballet was taken from the book "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" written by E. T. A. Hoffmann in 1816.

"Ella Enchanted" was a 2004 film which starred Anne Hathaway. When Ella was born, Lucinda the fairy gave her an "obedience gift" which meant Ella had to follow orders, even if she thought they were wrong. Many adventures took place as Ella tried to break the curse. The film was loosely based on the 1997 book called "Ella Enchanted" written by Gail Carson Levine.

Crysta was the lead character in an animated musical film, "FernGully: The Last Rainforest". She was a fairy who lived in a rainforest with others, but became curious about humans who were destroying their home by employing lumberjacks to cut down trees.
She accidentally cast a spell on one of the humans, shrinking him down to her size. The film was adapted from the book "Fern Gully" written by Diana Young in 1992.
