"Arc de Triomphe" is French for "Triumphal Arch". It was built in remembrance of French soldiers who died in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The Louvre Museum has over 7,000 paintings in its collection. In addition to the "Mona Lisa", the Louvre also contains Da Vinci's "Madonna on the Rocks", a famous painting Da Vinci created in the 1480s.
