2. American bison, Old Faithful geyser, and volcanos

Answer: Yellowstone

Along with being a national park, Yellowstone is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Primarily located in Montana, Yellowstone is over two million acres. The park is a geological wonder with geysers, waterfalls, and volcanos.
3. American alligators, mangrove trees, and wetlands

Answer: Everglades

Everglades National Park is found in south Florida and is home to many cool animals, including alligators, crocodiles, manatees, Florida panthers, and more birds than you could count. 4. On the Canadian border, Lake McDonald, and Going-to-the-Sun Road

Answer: Glacier

Glacier National Park is found in Montana on the Canadian border. At over one million acres, this park consists of rugged mountains, bright glacial lakes, and diverse wildlife. The Going-to-the-Sun Road is a scenic drive built between 1921 and 1932. It is both a National Historic Landmark and a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

As you explore the park, keep a lookout for moose, grizzly bears, mountain goats, and bighorn sheep.
5. Part of the Mighty Five, Devils Garden, and Park Avenue

Answer: Arches

The Mighty Five is the name of the five national parks in southern Utah. They are Arches, Canyonlands, Zion, Capitol Reef, and Bryce Canyon. Found next to the charming town of Moab, Arches is made of rugged rock formations, most notably its many arches. Caused by erosion, these arches include Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, Double Arch, and many more.

Some of the hiking areas include Devils Garden and Park Avenue, named because the towering cliffs look like the skyscrapers of New York City.
6. General Sherman, Moro Rock, and Tunnel Log

Answer: Sequoia

Sequoia National Park is found in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California. The endangered sequoia is the largest species of tree by volume in the world. In the park, you will find the General Sherman, the largest known living tree on Earth. It is 275 feet tall, has a diameter of 25 feet, and has an estimated mass of 2,472,000 pounds.

It is over 2,000 years old. Along with seeing massive trees, you can climb to the top of Moro Rock and drive through the Tunnel Log in this park.
7. Lighthouses, carriage roads, and whale-watching

Answer: Acadia

Acadia National Park is found on a collection of islands on the Atlantic coast of Maine. You can enjoy a scenic drive, hike along the historic carriage roads, or go kayaking in one of the lakes or ocean harbors. Whale-watching excursions are also popular. The Bass Harbor Head Light is a picturesque landmark that dates back to 1858.
8. Colorado River, California condors, and South Rim

Answer: Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona is one of the most iconic American landscapes. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was established as a national park in 1919 and welcomes millions of visitors each year. The Colorado River cut through the ground to create the Grand Canyon through the process of erosion.

It is 277 miles long, 6,000 feet at its deepest point, and 18 miles across at its widest point. If you are lucky, you will spot the endangered California condor soaring over as you hike the many trails.

The park is divided into the North and South Rims.
9. Large yucca plants, cholla cacti, and dark-sky preserve

Answer: Joshua Tree

Located in southern California, Joshua Tree National Park is a beautiful desert landscape full of interesting plants and rock formations. Joshua trees are not actually trees but are part of the genus Yucca. They are only found in a small area of the U.S. southwest. Because of the remoteness and lack of light pollution here, Joshua Tree is a dark-sky preserve excellent for stargazing.
10. Cades Cove, Laurel Falls, and Clingmans Dome

Answer: Great Smoky Mountains

Part of the Appalachian Mountains, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park spreads through North Carolina and Tennessee. It is the most visited U.S. national park with over 14 million annual visitors. The park offers opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, waterfall chasing, and camping. Cades Cove features a collection of historic buildings.

At 6,643 feet, the Clingmans Dome observation tower is the highest point in the park as well as all of Tennessee.
