Answer: Incubation temperature

Turtle eggs incubate for approximately two months after they have been laid on the beach. The temperature during this time will determine the sex of the hatchling. Below a certain temperature (this may vary depending on the location) the eggs produce males and above it, females.

The green turtle is the largest of the hard-shelled marine turtles. It is an endangered species that is found in warm oceans all over the world. Unlike most sea turtles they are herbivorous, this is what is believed to give them the greenish coloured fat after which they are named.

Brian Austin Green is probably best known for his role as David Silver in "Beverly Hills 90210" whom he played for ten years from 1990. He was born as Brian Green but when he joined the screen actors guild there was already an actor registered with this name. He didn't have a middle name so created 'Austin' to differentiate himself. His latest claim to fame has been the part of Derek Reese, John Connor's uncle, in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

Eva Green is a French actress who won a BAFTA for her part in "Casino Royale."

Matt Green is an English actor and comedian. He was the President of the Cambridge Footlights (an amateur theatrical club run by the students of Cambridge University) in 1999.

Al Green, born Albert Greene, is an American gospel singer from the 1970's. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from BET in 2008.
4. ENTERTAINMENT: Who was the first Green Lantern?

Answer: Alan Scott

The Green Lantern are several fictional superheroes that appeared in comic books commencing in July 1940. They each posses a power ring that gives them control over the physical world, the only limitations being that they must be touched to the lantern every 24 hours to be charged and that they do not work on wood.

The lantern had fallen to earth in China thousands of years prior to it coming into the hands of Alan Scott. He was a young engineer who became a crime fighter and the founding member of the 'Justice Society of America.'

Hal Johnson was the second Green Lantern, he was given the ring by a dying alien. Guy Gardner received the ring in the 1960s but he had an accident early on and was in a coma for many years. During this time John Stewart was chosen by the Guardians to act as a backup Green Lantern, he later became the first mortal Guardian of the universe. In 1994 Kyle Rayner was approached by Ganthet, the last Guardian of the universe, and given the last power ring.

Answer: Thunderhead

This is the third book in Mary O'Hara's 'Flicka' trilogy. It began with "My Friend Flicka" which told the story of how Ken McLaughlin came to own Flicka, the horse he had always wanted.

It was followed by "Thunderhead" who is Flicka's son. Ken didn't want to have Thunderhead gelded but he ended up escaping and collecting himself a harem and taking them into the mountains. At the end of the book Ken blows up the entrance to the valley and leaves Thunderhead with his brood.

In "Green Grass of Wyoming" Thunderhead has found a way out and is collecting mares again - including Jewell, an expensive young racehorse.

Goblin is the name that Ken's mother nearly gave Thunderhead when he was born.

On April 14th 1775 General Gage, the Governor of Massachusetts, was ordered by the British to suppress the rebellion among the colonists by using whatever force was deemed necessary. Four days later he ordered 700 British soldiers to go to Concord and destroy the weapons depot that was there.

Paul Revere and William Dawes were sent from Boston that night to warn the colonists, they reached Lexington at midnight and spread the word of the imminent arrival of the British and their plans. At dawn on April 19th seventy armed colonists were waiting for the British troops on Lexington Green. It was here that a single, unordered shot began the American Revolution.

Nathan Hale was hanged in 1776, in New York City, after being caught spying.

Benedict Arnold and his troops defeated the British at Ridgefield, Connecticut in 1777.

The massacre of the 40 American settlers took place at Cherry Valley in New York in 1778.

Shakin' Stevens was born as Michael Barrett in 1948 in Wales, UK. Answer: Chinese Girl

Vladimir Tretchikoff was born in Russia in 1913 but spent most of his life in Asia and Cape Town, where he died in 2006.

The 'Chinese Girl', painted between 1946 and 1950, is his most famous piece of work. It was made into a print in the 1960s and is one of the world's best selling art prints, some estimates say that it has sold more copies than the 'Mona Lisa.' The girl in the painting has a skin tone which is a bluish green which is where it's popular name originated. The other three options are all other works from his Asian collection.

A greenstick fracture occurs when the bone bends and only partially breaks. It is possible for any age group to get one but is mostly seen in infants and younger children. This is because their bones are still soft and more capable of bending. As people age their bones becomes more brittle and are thus more likely to snap. Greenstick fractures occur when the bone is subjected to bending forces which is most commonly due to a fall.

The name comes from the similarity in breaking green wood that will bend and splinter on the outside first.

Answer: Start or restart

Racing flags are used to communicate messages to the driver. There is usually a primary flagman standing on a flagstand near the start/finish line but others may be positioned around the course. Some racecourses now also use flashing lights as well.

Both NASCAR and Indycar use the green flag for both starting and restarting but the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) only uses it to restart a race once a hazard is over. All three use the red flag to stop a race and a yellow flag for some form of caution. The FIA uses the black flags as an immediate disqualification while NASCAR and Indycar just use it for some form of penalty.

"Green Acres" is a television series that premiered in 1965 and ran for 6 seasons. It was a spin-off from "Petticoat Junction" and shared many of the same characters.

The show is about Oliver Wendell Douglas and his wife Lisa who make the move from New York City to a small rural community. Oliver is a successful lawyer who decides to follow his long time dream of becoming a farmer and drags his city wife along with him.

Fred and Doris Ziffel are their elderly neighbours who had a pig called Arnold that they treated as their son. Sam Drucker is the owner of the general store in both shows. The Bradleys are the family from "Petticoat Junction" - Kate, Uncle Joe, Betty Jo, Bobby Jo and Billie Jo.

It is a first person shooting game, developed for X-box in 1995, that was a prequel to the "Land of the Dead" film.

Players become 'Jack' a rural farmer who finds his farm has become overrun with zombies. He fights his way past them through a variety of stages until he arrives at the 'City of the Living'. Once there he is hired to make a safe haven out of an apartment building named Fiddler's Green.

Answer: Libya

Libya adopted this flag in 1977 after they left the Federation of Arab Republics. Green is the country's national colour and it is also a symbol of their devotion to Islam - green is considered sacred in Islam which is why so many flags in the Islamic countries contain it. The country officially returned to the use of the "Kingdom of Libya" (1951 - 1969) flag on the 27 February 2011. This flag has horizontal tricolours of red, black and green with a white crescent and star centered on the black stripe.
The Irish flag is three vertical stripes of green, white and orange.
Luxembourg's is three horizontal stripes of red ,white and light blue.
Egypt has three horizontal stripes of red, white and black with the eagle of Saladin in the middle of the white stripe.
