Answer: Donovan

"Mellow Yellow" was a hit for Scottish singer Donovan and featured on his album of the same name. It was released in November 1966 in the USA where it reached number 2 in the Billboard Hot 100. In the UK it was released in February 1967 and reached no 8 in the charts.

Mello Yello was introduced in the US in 1979 as Coca-Cola's alternative to Mountain Dew made by their rivals Pepsi. It is a caffeinated soft drink, primarily citrus flavoured, although other flavours including cherry and peach have been released as limited edition flavours in the past.

The Tour de France is a cycle race that takes place in France, normally in July. The overall leader in the race at the end of each day is awarded the yellow jersey which they wear for the following day's stage.

Yellow fever is so called because it can cause liver damage resulting in yellowing of the skin due to jaundice. It is found primarily in Africa but can also be found in Tropical South America after being transported there by the slave trade in the 17th century. Around 30,000 people die from yellow fever each year with 90% of deaths occurring in Africa.

The "Yellow Pages" is a telephone directory for businesses. In order to make it easier for people to find the numbers they need the businesses are categorised by type rather than alphabetically. The name "Yellow Pages" comes from the colour of the paper that the directories are printed on.

As well as the US many other countries around the world have a "Yellow Pages" directory for business numbers including the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Norwich City Football Club was founded in 1902. They play their home matches at Carrow Road Stadium in the city of Norwich in the county of Norfolk. They have played in yellow shirts since the 1907/08 season with the nickname 'The Canaries' first coming into vogue in 1907. Since 1922 the club's crest has also featured a canary.

Historically, in art the three primary colours are yellow, red and blue. These colours are featured on the painters' colour wheel which shows the relationship between different colours and helps with working out which colours must be mixed together to form different colours.

However, in modern scientific colour theory, the traditional primary colours have been replaced with Cyan, Magenta and Yellow as they allow for a greater number of colours to be produced by mixing.

The Beatles released the song "Yellow Submarine" in 1966 and it was number one in the British charts for 4 weeks. The song is the most successful Beatles song featuring lead vocals by Ringo Starr. "Yellow Submarine" is also the name of an animated film released in 1968 featuring The Beatles' music and an animated version of the band.
