I am in the beautiful province of Alberta, located in western Canada. The Calgary Stampede is a compilation of rodeos, parades, concerts, and chuck-wagon racing. Held in July each year, this popular festival drew over two million people in 2010.

Answer: Madagascar

The Mozambique Channel is an extension of the Indian Ocean that runs about 1,600 km (1,000 mi) between the nations of Mozambique and Madagascar. Madagascar is the fourth-largest island in the world and amazingly more than 90% of its animal and plant species are considered endemic.

The ring-tailed lemur, fossa and more than 500 species of orchids are examples of wildlife endemic to Madagascar.
