Answer: Temple University

Temple University was founded in 1884, and its mascot is the owl, relating to the college's early days as a night school. Since 2013, Temple's sports teams have been members of the American Athletic Conference. Drexel are known as the Dragons, Pennsylvania are the Quakers and Villanova are the Wildcats.

Answer: Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is located on Benjamin Franklin Parkway and was opened in 1876. There are 72 steps leading up to the entrance and "Rocky" ran up them in the 1976 film of that name. Many (presumably young and fit) visitors can be seen trying to imitate this on a regular basis.

Answer: Delaware

The Delaware River flows for 282 miles in a roughly north to south direction. It rises in New York state, and flows through Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean at Delaware Bay. The river separates Philadelphia from New Jersey, and is crossed by a number of bridges, including the Walt Whitman Bridge, which carries Interstate 76.

Answer: Fairmount Park

The original Fairmount Park covered an area of over 9000 acres, making it around ten times bigger than New York's Central Park. The local Parks and Recreation Department decided in 2010 to refer to some of the constituent parks as separate entities. The park as a whole is divided in two by the Schuylkill River.

The Liberty Bell is located in the Liberty Bell Center in Independence National Historical Park. It was commissioned in 1752, and was believed to be one of several bells rung on July 8th, 1776, to mark the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Unfortunately, the bell cracked in the early 19th century, and, despite efforts to repair it, the crack remains - the last reported ringing of it took place on February 22nd, 1846, to commemorate George Washington's birthday.

Answer: Broad Street

Broad Street runs for around 13 miles from North Philadelphia to Philadelphia Navy Yard. The section that runs through the grid pattern of the city center would normally have been called 14th street as it runs parallel to 13th and 15th streets. The street is the traditional site of parades for championship winning Philadelphia sports teams.

Answer: John F. Kennedy Stadium

Live Aid was a set of benefit concerts arranged by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in aid of famine relief in Ethiopia. They took place at various venues around the world on 13th July, 1985, with by far the biggest two taking place at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. Phil Collins, by virtue of Concorde, performed in both stadiums. JFK Stadium, which hadn't had a regular sports team tenant in a number of years, was demolished in 1992.

Answer: Ice hockey

The Philadelphia Flyers were one of six expansion franchises which doubled the size of the National Hockey League in 1967. They were the first of the "new" teams to win the Stanley Cup, in 1974, and retained the trophy the following year. They moved into the brand new Wells Fargo Center in 1996, and share it with the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.

Answer: Pat's and Geno's

The cheesesteak is a sandwich consisting of strips of beef and melted cheese within a hoagie roll, with various other ingredients available such as mushrooms and bell peppers, according to your own particular taste. Pat's King of Steaks, founded in 1930 by Pat and Harry Olivieri, are one of the more famous purveyors of cheesesteaks, along with Geno's Steaks, founded by Joey Vento in 1966.

Answer: Rodin

The Rodin Museum is located on Benjamin Franklin Parkway and opened in 1929. Auguste Rodin was a French sculptor who lived from 1840-1917, and the museum contains around 150 of his works, including a casting of "The Thinker".
