Sydney helps to influence the theme because over the course of the novel he is 'reborn', in a way; before he dies, he says, "I am the resurrection and the life...".
Jerry worked in secret as a 'resurrection man', or a grave robber, who sold bodies to science.
Doctor Manette is represented by the phrase 'recalled to life'.
2. What is Mr. Lorry's occupation?

Answer: banker

He works for Tellson's Bank in London.
3. What are the 'two cities' of the title?

Answer: Paris and London

The novel is set before and during the French Revolution.

As was previously mentioned, Jerry sold bodies to science for money.

Answer: trades places with Darnay

He trades places with Darnay and dies at the guillotine out of his love for Lucie. The answer 'saves the aristocrats from the guillotine' refers to another literary character: "The Scarlet Pimpernel".
