A living legend amongst Aes Sedai, Cadsuane Melaidhrin is one of the most powerful and eldest Aes Sedai in existence. She has made it her mission to teach Rand al'Thor some manners.

A Whitecloak Questioner, this man is also a Darkfriend, a fact discovered by Mat Cauthon in Ebou Dar.

Not held in high regard for her actions, many people who know of the bond believe that what Alanna did was little short of rape, if that. However, there have been some negative side effects for Alanna, icluding passing out for some time when Rand was bonded with Min, Elanyne and Aviendha, as well as being shunned by her sisters.
