Answer: A fair maiden

Helen, the fair maiden and wife of the king of Sparta, King Menelaus, fell in love with Paris. He was the brother of Hector, son of the king of Troy. Helen went away with him to Troy and left her husband. King Menelaus became angry and, with the help of his brother, Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae, waged a war on Troy.
2. Who was the king that led the Greeks into battle?

Answer: Agamemnon of Mycenae

Technically, King Menelaus started the war. However, his brother, King Agamemnon, was a great, strategic warlord, so he was asked by his brother to lead the army into battle.
3. Who killed Achilles, by shooting an arrow through his heel?

Answer: Paris

After Achilles killed Hector, Paris wanted to avenge his brother. From atop the walls of Troy, he shot Achilles in the heel, his only weak spot, with a poison arrow. This incident lead to the expression, "Achilles' heel", referring to a person's weak spot.

This idea was thought up by Odysseus. He was very wise and a trusted adviser of King Agamemnon. In "The Odyssey", Odysseus thought up many strategies that saved his life and the lives of those with him.

The island of Ithica lies off the western coast of Greece, and Odysseus was the leader of the island during his lifetime.

Calypso the water nymph was the daughter of the Titan, Atlas. She lived on the island that Odysseus was marooned on, and she imprisoned him. Calypso loved Odysseus dearly and promised him immortality in exchange for his love, yet he declined.

In Greek mythology, Hermes was the messenger for the gods and is said to be the fastest god on Mt. Olympus, home of the gods. He was always sent to deliver urgent messages, such as the incident in "The Odyssey".

Answer: Phaeacians

Answer: Telemachus

Telemachus was the son of Odysseus and Penelope. Odysseus had left to go to Troy when Telemachus was just a baby. Telemachus, when older, went all over Greece to ask survivors of the war about his father, after his father had been missing for some time.

After Odysseus and his crew stabbed out the Cyclops' eye, they draped sheep's wool over themselves. So, when Cyclops felt around for them, he couldn't find them in his lair. Then, when the Cyclops let his sheep out to graze, the crew escaped the island by among the sheep.
