A delightful story of loyalty between a brother and sister. Even though the brother is turned into a fawn, the sister never leaves him. During a hunting trip the fawn is seen by the king's men entering a cottage, being let in by a beautiful young girl.

The king lays a trap the next day and finds the sister, marries her and has a child. Unfortunately, the witch stepmother, overcome with envy, puts a spell on the sister and replaces her in the castle with her own daughter. All ends well when the king discovers the swap and he banishes the witch's daughter to the forest, where she is killed by wild beasts.

The witch is burnt to death. After the witch dies the brother is returned to human form. Of course they live happily ever after.

They walked to the lake where 12 princes met them and rowed them over to a castle where they danced until their shoes where worn out. The soldier followed them for three days and then informed the king, earning marriage to the eldest princess.

"The Spirit in the Bottle" is a fairy tale about finding a spirit in a bottle which is not a good spirit, and it threatens to kill the son. The son tricks the spirit to get back in the bottle. The spirit is desperate to get out and enters into another agreement to give treasures instead of death.

The son risks it and lets the spirit out of the bottle, and is rewarded with a rag that cures wounds as well as turning metal into silver.

The 12th fairy could not remove the spell, but could change it from death to sleeping for 100 years. Sure enough, at 15 the spell happened and everyone fell asleep, and around the castle grew a briar rose. Over the years princes tried to get through the briar, and finally one did, then he kissed the princess and everyone woke up.
