Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How did this movie start?

Answer: Megamind falling out of the sky

It begins with Megamind seeingly falling to his death. Then there's a flash back to when he was a baby and shows his life growing up and his interactions with Metro Man. Finally, the scene where he is falling shows again, but now the audience understands the background behind it.
2. Who wrote the piece that Roxanne says at the opening of the Metro Man Museum?

Answer: She did.

After Hal disses on the apparent cheesiness of Roxanne's speech, she tells him, with a little bit of attitude, that she wrote that piece herself. He quickly backpedals and tries to make it into a comment about their society covering "actual art" on the news.
3. What did Hal say chicks liked instead of bouncy houses?

Answer: clowns

Hal tries to get Roxanne to come to a party at his house, since he likes her, but she refuses. Later, when he's getting into the news van to leave, he berates himself for how he asked her, and says that "chicks don't like bouncy houses, they like clowns!"
4. Why did Bernard/Megamind say that Roxanne shouldn't stay in the Metro Man museum any longer?

Answer: They were having the walls and ceiling removed.

Roxanne is talking to who she thinks is the maintenance man, Bernard. But it is actually Megamind she is talking to, disguised as Bernard. He says she shouldn't stay there longer than two minutes and thirty-seven seconds, because they were "having the walls and ceiling removed."
5. What was NOT one of the things Megamind said about himself as he was planning to create a new hero?

Answer: Outlaw with no sheriff

Megamind compares himself to a villain with no hero, a yin with no yang, and a bullfighter with no bull to fight when he is talking to Minion in the Lair about creating a new hero. He feels like he has no purpose without someone good to fight against.
6. What was on Minion's "thing" that he packed? (Think of Minion's entrance when Megamind was having an "existential discussion" with a desk toy.)

Answer: A female guitarist

This was definitely one of the saddest parts in the movie. Megamind and Minion have a fight about Megamind's interest in Roxanne. Then Minion packs his little suitcase, which has the guitarist on it, and leaves because Megamind doesn't think that he needs him anymore.
7. What was the final reason Titan gave for beating up Megamind?

Answer: Megamind had lied to Space Stepmom.

They had this conversation after Titan/Hal turned evil and Megamind admitted that he was the one who had been dating Roxanne. Titan was very angry and wanted to kill him. The first hit he gave Megamind was because he stole his girlfriend, the second one was for Space Dad making a fool out of him, and the last one was for Space Stepmom, since Titan thought that Megamind had lied to her, too (though Space Stepmom was actually Minion).
8. Where did Megamind go when he told Roxanne that he was "going home"?

Answer: Prison

Megamind considered prison to be his actual home, since that's where he was raised. It was also where he spent most of his time, thanks to Metro Man.
9. What funny line does Megamind say as people are coming to congratulate him?

Answer: "Get back, you savages!"

He thinks that the people are coming to get him, so he points the freeze gun at them and tells them to get back. "I did it!" and "Metro City is mine!" he says after he defeats Metro Man. "I liked the sound of that" is his last line in the movie.
10. Who voiced this hilarious blue alien?

Answer: Will Ferrell

Jim Carrey and Steve Carell are two other comedic actors that have lent their voices to other animated roles, and Brad Pitt was the voice of Metro Man. Will Ferrell has been in many other movies, including "Elf" (2003), "Step Brothers" (2008), and "The Other Guys" (2010).

Other voice roles of his include the Man in the Yellow Hat from "Curious George" (2006) and guest appearances on various animated television episodes.
