Maximilian Schell won the Academy Award for Best Actor.
3. In the 1962 romantic comedy "That Touch of Mink" starring Cary Grant and Doris Day, a famous American sportsman plays himself in the movie. Who is this sportsman?

Answer: Mickey Mantle

Mickey Mantle (1931 - 1995) played for the New York Yankees for 18 years from 1951 - 1968 and was regarded by many as one of the greatest "switch hitters" of all time. He played in seven World Series Championship sides, 20 times an All-Star and finished his career with 536 home runs.

Answer: Shirley Eaton

Jill Masterson (Shirley Eaton) was an assistant to Goldfinger and she betrayed him, so as her punishment he had her painted gold. While preparing for the scene to be shot it took one hour and a half to apply the gold paint to her body. This became quite a well-known part of the film (although a small part); however, the painted body was displayed on the cover of "Life" magazine in November 1964. Honor Blackman played Pussy Galore and Tania Mallet played Tilly Masterson, the sister of Jill. Lois Maxwell was Miss Moneypenny (M's secretary) and played this role in 14 James Bond productions. "Goldfinger" was the third Top Grossing film in the USA in 1964 after "Mary Poppins" and "My Fair Lady".

It was during the filming of "Goldfinger" that Sean Connery became an avid golf fan.

Answer: Navy

Although Austria is landlocked, it did prior to the 1930s have a combined Austro-Hungarian Navy which was allied to Germany during WWI.
Captain von Trapp actually commanded a number of submarines in WWI and was highly decorated.
One of the children, Maria von Trapp (portrayed as Louisa in the movie), was the last surviving member of the seven von Trapp children and sadly passed away in 2014 at the age of 99.
7. In 1966 a movie starring Michael Caine and Shelley Winters was released that was the first film to be "suggested for mature audiences" by the Motion Picture Association of America in the USA, which today is known as a PG rating. What was the name of this film?

Answer: Alfie

All four movies were released in 1966. Michael Caine (Alfred "Alfie" Elkins) starred as a young womaniser who leads a self-centred life. He cheats on various women and treats them all with disrespect. Shelley Winters played the role of Ruby.
The main reason for the move by the MPAA was that it depicted an abortion scene (although off camera). The rating appeased the beliefs of a number of religious groups that monitored the movie industry.
8. Lucas (Luke) Jackson, played by Paul Newman in the 1967 classic "Cool Hand Luke", was arrested and imprisoned for two years to a Florida chain gang. What was he arrested for?

Answer: Cutting off the "heads" of parking meters

It was Dragline (George Kennedy) that gave him the name "Cool Hand Luke".

Very few realise that David Niven also played Sir James Bond in the film "Casino Royale" (1967).
10. Lee Marvin stars as Ben Rumson in the 1969 movie "Paint Your Wagon". His mining partner in the movie is Clint Eastwood who is only known as "Pardner". Only at the end of the movie does Ben ask his "Pardner" what is his real name. What was the name given by Pardner (Clint Eastwood)?

Answer: Sylvester Newel
