Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The lyrics, "I know the truth, I'm through fearing you and I am free," are from what song?

Answer: Lies (Remix)

"Lies (Remix)" is a part of the 2001-2002 demo sessions. It can be found on the unreleased CD, "Not For Your Ears."
2. The lyrics, "The dynamic of symmetrical social riots, can be summed together in broad statements. That what has become blueprint for all, and all, have been reduced to the space of one," are a part of what song?

Answer: Everybody's Fool (Demo)

These lyrics are spoken by David Hodges about half way through the song. "Everybody's Fool" was first recorded during the 2001-2002 demo sessions. Carrie Lee, Amy Lee's sister, started listening to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Carrie's fascination for Spears and Aguilera became the inspiration for this song.
3. What song features the lyrics, "I'd love to walk away and pull myself out of the rain but I can't live without you."?

Answer: My Immortal (Demo)

This is a very early and rare version of "My Immortal", heavy in piano, with raw sounding lyrics. It can be found on "Ultra Rare Trax, Volume Three."
4. What song begins with the lyrics, "You hold the answer." and ends with, "I tried so hard."?

Answer: Understanding "(Sound Asleep" Version)

This version of "Understanding" ends abruptly with the words, "I tried so hard." Interestingly, Ben Moody often refers to this song as a "Cheesy seven-minute Goth anthem".
5. In what song does Amy Lee sing, "Calling me, killing me; I won't let you pull me down. Saving me, raping me, watching me."?

Answer: Haunted (Demo)

This song, developed during the 2001-2002 demo sessions, was later released on "Fallen." This version differs slightly in that the "Fallen" version does not include the lyrics, "Calling me, killing me."
6. What song has the lyrics, "You can leave the world you live in, suicide. You may not remember but something waits for you to breathe again."?

Answer: Imaginary (Demo)

Originally released on the "Evanescence EP" in 1998, "Imaginary" has evolved through six different versions:
The original is found on the "Evanescence EP." The second is on "Origin." An acoustic version was released on the Internet. There is the "Fallen" version, and two other demo versions.
7. The lyrics, "However did you manage to push away from every living thing you come across? So afraid that anyone will hate you, you pretend you hate them first," are from what song?

Answer: Where Will You Go? (EP Version)

This version begins with a synthesizer or organ. It is much slower than the more familiar "Origin" version and definitely has a darker feel to it. The "Where Will You Go?" ("Fallen" Version) choice does not exist.
8. What song features the lyrics, "But now that I've given up on you, finally you see me."

Answer: Forever Gone Forever You

John LeCompt wrote this song. According to LeCompt, the original name of the song was "C Sharp", which is the guitar tuning of the song. It was originally recorded for the "Fallen" album, but it didn't make the final cut.
9. Amy Lee sings the lyrics,"Nothing there to make me feel anymore. There's only you and everyday I need more," in what song?

Answer: Anything For You

Not a lot is known about the background or meaning for, "Anything For You." It was recorded during the 2001-2002 demo sessions, but never made it onto any officially released album.
10. What version of "Bring Me To Life" features these lyrics? "I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems. Got to open my eyes to everything. Don't let me die here. Bring me to life."

Answer: Bring Me To Life ("Bliss" Mix)

Mike Shinoda, of Linkin Park, was originally asked to sing "Bring Me To Life" with Amy, but it never came to fruition. Linkin Park was recording "Meteora" in the same studio that "Fallen" was recorded in. This version differs slightly with the words, "Don't let me die here."
